The American press has been breathlessly speculating on the Trump administration’s relationship with Russia for the past two years.

But only recently have they started to dig into what it means for America’s primo Silicon Valley startups to be tied indirectly to the Saudi government.

What does it mean for relentlessly forward-looking companies like Slack, who publish effusive blog posts about diversity and collaborative leadership, to be fueled in part by money from a government that only recently allowed women to drive, and has a record of flogging bloggers who disagree with the regime?

Even probably more importantly, what does it mean for members of the Saudi Public Wealth Fund to be on the boards of these companies and directly calling the shots?

As I’ve written about before, being on the board, particularly if you have money, has influence.

If Iran made some sort of peace with Israel, as SA sort of did, we can nuke SA. But the enemy of my enemy is an ally...

Softbank basically cornered the rideshare market by making offers that company management couldn't refuse. Take heart in knowing every Uber and Lyft ride you take has been subsided by a Saudi sovereign wealth fund. WeWork is gonna leave a mark when it blows up; last dance of the unicorns.

Droning appears to be just as effective without the fallout...

WeWork could save itself if it offered brothel services for software engineers. No, I am serious! :)

You may be on to something there. Most software engineers make a good income and are very bad with women. The possibilities for profit are huge.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. I've also met many a randy Indian engineer who loved to do blondes and Chinese -- especially the ones that wanted to sow their oats before being forced into arranged marriages.

WeWork wouldn't have to advertise it openly. Just offer it on the sly as part of the package via a 'third party'. Word will quickly spread so that all HR recruiters have to list on their perks is "we use WeWork facilities".

WeWork is knee-deep (if not more) into SJWism though, they would get axed and crucified immediately.

Maybe their SJWism could be used in favor of it? My body my choice?

Oh man, this is starting to sound possible!

lol
