I don't agree with death threats, to anyone, especially over internet videos. That's illegal and offensive to free speech no matter who the target.

That said, I also disagree with using children for adult purposes. Putting them onto the internet talking about adult subjects (words almost certainly put into their mouths by parents of dubious ethics) BUT expecting them to be shielded from everything but unconditional positive regard is a very dangerous game. It's unethical in the same manner as child beauty pageants, drag or burlesque shows, cursing kids, to name a few recent examples.

Threats of violence are not tied to political views but to extremes. Also I agree not using children for anything political. However you are comparing your personal anecdote on a fringe forum (most Alex Jones stuff is fringe) with the daily violence threatened by the left on large public mainstream forums such as twatter. There's simply no comparison in magnitude. The left is mainly violent and it has been tolerated too long.

This wasn't ON the Alex Jones website, it was in the comments of an AJ video about Soph posted on LiveLeak.

I notice a lot of people are trying to Whataboutism their way through this discussion without getting too deep into the matter at hand. If children are going to speak publicly about adult topics, they are subject to the same social and political slings and arrows as adults. That is WHY minors shouldn't be placed in adult roles. Using your kid as an unassailable political mouthpiece for your less than robust viewpoints, then defending the child instead of said viewpoints from critics, is a logically flawed and ethically challenged (to wit: Chickenshit) move.
