Looks like they’re making first steps. It’s never gotten this far before.

It needs to be legal for sure. Biggest waste of resources over a god damn harmless plant.

Going to be tough to get Cannabis legalized federally while Republicans are in control of the Senate. The Right Wingers aren't just clinging to their bible and guns anymore, now they have a death grip on their Racist War on Drugs and they're not going to give up their Anti-American Prohibition without a fight. Most Liberal Blue States have already restored the Freedom to their citizens, but the Republicans are not good for your health, our country, or our Freedoms. It's pathetic, and it's a shame that Right Wingers can never take responsibility for their actions, always the victim, or else Prohibition would never have been a thing. It continues to amaze me that The Church still clings to the Racist War on Drugs, you'd think they'd speak up on behalf of God's Greatest Gift To Mankind, The Healing Plant.

Didn’t the linked article say that 42 Republicans voted for this bill? That’s a pretty broad brush you’re painting with, and it’s dripping shit all over the place. I’d say that of the conservative posters on this site, the ones who are against pot being legal are in the minority. I’ve been saying legalization only makes sense for fifteen years.

Funny it might get legalized with Trump in office, will CA ban it for that reason?
5   MisdemeanorRebel   2019 Jun 25, 3:52pm

... don't criticize it.

Not completely harmless. Hemp is used to make hangman's nooses.

Maybe we can 3D print a hemp gun?

You'd have to be comfortable lying to yourself to think that Trump has had anything to do with the Liberals Legalization movement. Reality is, Trump has been very anti-cannabis, just like the rest of the Anti-AMerican Right Wingers. From appointing Jeff Sessions, to getting out Art of the Deal'd by Senator Gardner who withheld Trumps DOJ appointments for over three months, solely because Trump wouldn't cede to States Rights and keep Obama Era protections in place for States who have already restored Freedom and Liberty to their citizens, Trump has been bad for Cannabis. There's even been an uptick in arrests for Cannabis over the Trump years. I've heard many postulate that Trump will change course and Legalize Cannabis heading into this election cycle, to steal the thunder from the Liberals, LOL yea, let me know where we can bet against that and collect the free money

The only shit is dripping from the mouths of the people who vote Republican. I'm not sure how you can even identify anyone on this site as a Conservative. Who are you referring to? Republicans are the only ones carry on the War on Drugs, even though I know the M.O. of a right winger is to always deny their own role in harming America, and instead attempt to deflect and play victim.

Anyone grow their own? I've considered it and it seems plenty easy to get seeds online, even if you don't live in a friendly state.
13   Patrick   2022 Jun 20, 3:40pm

The seeds are pretty expensive, I think.

Yeah, around $10/seed.

Gonna be weird sounding but about to share a raft up in Wisconsin with a lesbian (she's cool) and she just planted an acre.... not joking. We're doing some midwest rapids. We are going to be so fucking high and there's a 60' class 4 drop at one point. She makes amazing edibles. Eat one cookie and you're high for 10 hours or so, and it's not overwhelming or paranoid high.

I'm not sure about the rafting as I'm a bit wimpy after potentially almost blowing my skull open in Big Sky, MT snowboarding. The helmet had a hole in it....

I wouldn't worry about growing in a non-legal state though or legal state that doesn't allow you to grow. No one cares anymore where I've traveled. Just don't have massive quantities when moving about. If you have 10lbs in the basement after harvesting no one would know. 18 years ago we cured 2lbs of pot in my parents basement, drank, smoked, dipping tennis balls in gas, lit them and shot them with a bow and arrow. Good idea when you have two pounds of pot in the basement. But that's why rural is better. Get to do what you want.

Racist drug laws? Really? Are you woke or something?

It can't be. If it was that expensive, it would be more lucrative to sell the seeds than the product.

No. Have you grown before? Even 1 or 2 plants can be pounds if grown outdoors during the right time of year. That $10 seed could crow me a year worth of pot. It's why it's illegal. Has a shit ton of benefit physically and emotionally. Big Pharma doesn't want it around because it's easy to grow and do on your own.

The friend I talked about above will likely have 100-200lbs of pot in August/September. She does have a license to grow here in IL, but regulators at this stage are morons. So she grows heavy THC plants mixed in with the hemp/CBD plants. There's no way to know. It's like a different colored day lily or a slightly different looking cactus. 2 plants that produce will give you as much pot as you need for a year. ROI is really good if you like flower or make it into a butter or something and make edibles. $10 is jack shit for what it produces versus what you pay in legal states. More work, but whatever.
19   RC2006   2022 Jun 21, 6:32pm

This is why I have always thought pot prices and stocks would callapse . Pot is as easy to grow and process as tomatoes.

You pretty much nailed it. $10/seed is nothing compared to what a single plant can produce. Pot alone could take a ton of people off of anxiety/depression meds as well as a lot of the meds prescribed for cancer patients.

That's billions out of big pharmas pockets.

Shit, wanna talk about a wonder drug that does everything?

Flanders Fields, you know what I mean? it'll solve anything from agony to the runs.
