Rin saysFYI, Cambodians and Vietnamese who'd escaped from war, back in the 70s, are assimilated into American society today.
Not even close. I lived in a Cambodian/Vietnamese neighborhood for three years in San Diego. Most first generation SE Asians barely speak English. They stick to their own communities. Do you think Italians, Irish, and Germans immediately assimilated when they got to New York? This isn't natural, and always takes time. Now the kids, that's a different story. They were very American.
And Nutboxer says,
I'd totally swap all Muslim immigration for Asian non-Muslim immigration. No contest.
The deliberate conflation of a rational distrust of Islam with racism is a good example of what James Damore called the "misrepresent and shame" tactic that the Left uses over and over.
