The timing with the Beyond Meat and Impossible burgers. It comes only a few years after the Japanese claimed they made artificial meat out of human Shit.

I don't think people as big of a short term memory as they would like to think.

I wont drive within a block of Burger King now.

Looks like the "journalists" has dropped the "drivers are obsolete" and "jobs are obsolete" drivel and jumped onto the "meat is obsolete" bandwagon.

A recent South Park episode tackles Impossible Burger. Not sure if they actually looked into it, but according to show it's just as processed as any other food "product" you can get from Tyson, etc...

An informal poll on patnet to see how many people will eat this stuff regularly would be interesting, say twice a week......I vote NO

Good quality meat is damn expensive.

We love it.

We'd rather reduce meat consumption than eat the cheaper junk meat, pink slime, etc.

This is the single biggest slash to the household budget, to reduce our meat consumption.

IMO the funniest thing about these trendy big-name substitutes is that places like Taco Bell can now drop the pretense of actually having meat in their products.

I love meat and haven't tried the current substitutes.

In the 90s there was a decent dry vegetarian "nature's burger" mix available in bulk. We mixed in ground hemp seed and sold it as "Hemp soft tacos." With onions and cilantro, it came out quite delicious. However, it was a novelty, never a food staple for me.

I had a $15 hamburger at the Trump rally, the Stadium's fault not Trump.
As I ate the burger, there was nothing in it, that I could identify as ground beef. It was most definitely a Fag Burger.
I'll just never eat hamburger in a restaurant ever again. Because as you've said, that's exactly what these cock suckers will do to save margins.
They would grill you a dog terd if they could get away with it.

And knowing Genghis Khan, all three - eat, ride, and poke - referred to horses.

If you are talking about a hamburger, and you wanted to go meatless this time, just substitute a grilled portabella mushroom cap for the meat paddy. Works well with the typical condiments added, and has the right texture.

Maybe if you Pokey her enough she will.

I was a toddler in the late 60s and loved Gumby. I'd abuse the flexible plastic dolls till they tore and exposed the sharp little wire inside and Mom would have to take it away. Good, cause they were probably laden with phthalates plus lead and cadmium colorants. Hopefully for users, the internal features of realdolls don't have these issues.

Impossible burger is off the charts with respect to omega-6.

Highly inflammatory!

Cows, sheep, goats, ruminants basically are fantastic for the environment don't listen to those moron lefties.

The time will come soon that we'll require them or agriculture will fail.

Chickens, pigs not so much.

Also the red meat scare is also bullshit.

Beyond Meat Products Pulled From Tim Hortons Canada Shops

Tim Hortons restaurants have stopped selling Beyond Meat products at its coffee and donut shops across two of Canada’s biggest provinces.

The chain had been serving the Beyond Burger and a Beyond Meat breakfast sandwich made with the company’s imitation sausage products. After an initial launch starting in June at nearly 4,000 Canadian locations, the items were scaled back to the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia in September.

“We introduced Beyond Meat as a limited time offer. We are always listening to our guests and testing new products that align to our core menu offerings.
