No Independents!

Before there was Jill Stein, there was Ralph Nader. Before there was Nader, there was Ross Perot.

None won. All argued that the Republican Party and the Democratic Party were basically the same, and the only way to make real change was to ditch them both. Each was blamed for siphoning off enough votes to throw the presidential elections.

These days, the difference between the parties is starker than it’s ever been in modern times. Yet here comes Howard Schultz, a billionaire who feels that he might be the answer to American politics, and that he’d run for president as an independent.

Schultz, the former Starbucks CEO, says in a 60 Minutes interview already recorded but airing on Sunday that he is thinking very seriously about a presidential run—but he stops short of a full announcement.

He makes clear, however, that if he moves forward, he will do so as an independent.

Already top Democratic operatives working for presidential candidates and beyond say they’re worried that the only thing he’ll accomplish is making sure Donald Trump gets re-elected. It’s more than just sniping at a prospective opponent; word that he might invest in an independent run has many of them clearly worried about how he’d split votes in a general election.

The Atlantic goes on to approvingly quote Kristol and just about every militant Anti-Trumper.

Shultz has a policy which will be popular: "every homeless deserves access to a bathroom!" He will propose a special "bathroom tax" for the homeless.

He'll start in San Francisco where the bums are crapping all over the place.

I'm sure he has a lot of other ideas.

Liberal running as independent in disguise. Probably a placeholder to steal Republican votes and elect Hillary. Lol.

or to show D's that they need to change if they want to win

They are such idiots there's no such thing as a spoiler. If you're voting for Jill Stein in 2016, you sent a clear message fuck both candidates.
At best, let's say if Jill stayed out, then Hillary got all of her votes. She would have only gotten more in the popular vote Blue States Hillary already won.
Jill did not affect Hillary's chances in Purple or Red districts.

I'll support Schultz to keep the Dems and extreme leftoids away.

Oh wow, just read the comments under his announcements.

This moment is like no other. Our two parties are more divided than ever. Let’s discuss how we can come together to create opportunities for more people. #ReimagineUS https://t.co/9UY46OTO0I— Howard Schultz (@HowardSchultz) January 28, 2019

They are basically calling him a Fascist Appeaser-Facilitator if he runs.

He so needs to run

What fucking rock have you been living under for the past three years?

Do you know WHY the parties are "more divided than ever"? BECAUSE ONE OF THEM IS COMPOSED OF WHITE SUPREMACISTS AND FASCISTS DEVOTED TO BURNING EVERYTHING DOWN!

How do you come together with that?

What an hysterical nutcase.

And like Trump, Schultz will be in to win. Remember, lots of pundits commented on how Trump was just in for the publicity. Schultz, vain as the rest, thinks he will win. Schultz has no desire to be a spoiler that helps Trump. And just as I believe Trump may have run as a Democrat if not for the fix being in to nominate Hillary, Schultz would run as a Democrat except he knows the Dems are not going to nominate a white male.

And if Schultz does become that threat, look for some "Me Too" babes to come out of his distance past. Too easy to find an operative to invent sexual misconduct in the style of Blasey Ford.

For certain.

As certain as the Media will go all out to bury the Willie Brown fucking Kamala Harris and helping her career stories. Except for perhaps one or two outlets that really, really, support another candidate.

Go Schultz Go!

Take 20 seconds of your day and tweet about how great it is to have a Centrist like Schultz running. And how appalled you are at the partisan attacks on his Centrist, moderate candidacy.
