Which way does he swing? Because you know he is/was a swinger, depending he may do well in prison.

You think a guy who worked for and worships Nixon and refuses to disown the guy almost 50 years later is gonna wimp out on Trump?

He said he wasn't gonna make shit up to save his ass.

Only a truly brain damaged individual would mimic Richard Nixon

Gonna bet he has something shoved up his ass though - soon. Hope he likes things in color to contrast with that pasty white skin.

Nixon was actually kind of a libby.

Pulled US out of Vietnam, which overrides his many other problems. Yet he is vilified despite saving tens of thousands of American lives, while LBJ is considered nearly a Saint

More like rhymes with "Which Cunt?"

Really, I must have missed that. We got kicked out of Vietnam by the commies.

The takeover of South Vietnam by the communist North was completed on April 30, 1975, two years after the United States signed a peace treaty with Hanoi and pulled out its combat troops after a decade-long struggle. This gave the responsibility for the war to the South Vietnamese.

To give Nixon credit for "pulling out of Vietnam" is really disingenuous. He interfered with the peace talks in 1968 to get elected (which may well have ended the war much earlier, we will never know), then expanded the war into Cambodia, carried the war on for years signing the Paris peace accords in 1973, 5 years after he was first took office.

Fact remains that he had the guts to pull out, while LBJ did not. Nixon certainly had an option to escalate more. We can compare this with current long-lasting Afghanistan quagmire, when neither Obama nor Trump were honest enough to admit that war can not be won and remove US troops.

Yes, but he may be facing jail for the rest of his life verses composing what Mueller wants.

Trump was going to build a big beautiful wall

Mexico was going to pay for the wall

Trump was going to take the mantle for the shutdown

Yadda yadda yadda.....

He will make shit up when the times comes....he is not cut from the same cloth as the real wiseguys

Were you of draft age as this "gutsy man" Nixon was carrying forth LBJ's war? Might give you a different perspective. There are similarities and differences between Vietnam and Afghanistan but mostly differences.

All wars have major similarity - their result is dead and crippled people, and because of that one should avoid starting wars as much as possible. If they have been started by some nitwit, they should be ended as soon as possible. Granted, some wars can not be avoided (when country is directly attacked, like WW2). Both Vietnam and Afghanistan wars were avoidable.

I was nearly drafted for Afghanistan war...but by a different country.

Both of these wars could have been avoided if US leadership at that time had some common sense.

100% agree, btw I was on the hook, draft number 50 circa 1970.

Got to have somewhere to let the generals and admirals play war, line themselves up for a sweet job with a defense contractor post military career and above all keep the U.S. economy rolling along.

Nothing spells profits and dividends along with executive bonuses like the sound of bombs dropping, bullets flying, rockets launching etc. from U.S. Armed Forces or from U.S. weapons supplied to other countries.

Doubly good, if you can get a deferment because you are "connected" and get to stay state side and make the big bucks while the schleps are being used for target practice by the other side.

All wars are caused by politicians. Generals and Admirals are just the dogs that the politicos sic on the enemy.

I'd agree that politicians cause them, especially if a politician is up for an election - a small, victorious war does miracles for popularity. However, politicians are often bribed by defense contractors who have vested interest in wars.
22   MisdemeanorRebel   2019 Jan 25, 4:11pm

A reminder that Vietnam and associated draft was initiated by a Democrat. Nixon ended the war and did so relatively quickly, and in a way where it ended up China was formally opposed to both the USSR and North Vietnam.

We may remember Air force reserve service of one president, naval reserve unit service for the second one, and bone spurs for the third one.

Maybe Stone will start a gofundme to pay his lawyers and raise a million bucks.

They may keep busting his balls but he will be eventually pardoned anyway.

Ruth is going to be replaced presently on the supreme court so they won't help Mueller and his ilk.

It would have to go to trial and you won’t find a jury who will convict under these circumstances. His lawyers will voir dire out all the LibbyFucks and Leftards and all that will be left are conservatives and moderates who will not convict on such an obviously politically motivated and bogus charge.
