I’m looking to purchase one of the following cars and wondering if any Patnet members have or have had one of these cars?

1970 Chevelle
1967-68 Camaro

Any recommendations, tips, impressions would be much appreciated ?

I had a 67 Camaro convertible. What exactly do you want to know? Have you been watching Barrett-Jackson car auction this week?

What was your impression of the camaro? What did you like about it? What didn’t you like about it?

Yes I watch Barrett-Jackson.

I had classic Fords in the past but this will be my first bowtie.

The muscle car era produced a ton of great cars. A 67 camaro is whatever you want it to be depending on your wallet, of course. I've just always loved the shape of all the pony cars...camaro, mustang, challenger, cuda etc. But camaro has always been my favorite. I don't think they are any better than mustangs or mopars though. I've only ever had camaros and mustangs.

When I'm ready for another 60s muscle car, it's either going to be a restomod or some type of rat rod.

Really, I just loved the shape of camaros though.

What's the purpose? Drive, look at, collector? Personally, I am only interested in something I would enjoy driving across the country. Meaning totally updated to modern specs.

Did you see how much some of those restomods are selling for? Damn, as much as a Ferrari.

I had a bunch of early 70s cars when I started driving in the late 80s they were a blast and some of them would be more than a new car now, wish I still had my Trans am, cougar, and my dads ford galaxy with 6 barrel carburetor.
My Great uncle just passed away in in his mid 80s his trust had a bunch of cars towed away for nothing that included some non running cars that included 1967 Camaro that didn't run and needed work (people offering 10k for it), a few misc 1960s cars that worked, and a 1950s panel truck that was my grandfathers and used for deliveries with my families market from back in the day which really pissed me off.

I've never heard of a 6 barrel carburetor. Did you mean 3 2-barrels known as a 6-pack?

Not sure if you have gone to see the offerings at this place in San Ramon. They also have a showroom in Las Vegas. Stopped by a few times when they were in Dublin. They do consignment and going there in person they are more than happy to answer all kinds of questions for you.

One additional car that I’m considering is a 70-75 Datsun Z. Love those little cars.
