For the first time in his presidency, Trump stood up for his constituents and told Pelosi and Schumer that he is standing up for the American people and he will shut down the government (mainly just one branch of government: Homeland security) if he doesn't get funding for the wall.

He was strong, decisive and watching the whole interview I felt proud that I voted for him. To me the Democrats looked weak and pathetic, because they would rather support illegal immigration, rather than fund the wall, which has proven to be effective in Israel.

However, you read CNN's version of events and Trump is the looser:

"Trump let his ego and his temper get the better of him," and "Schumer and Pelosi got under his skin" the CNN article read.

If you ask me they were the ones who were miffed. Schumer looked like he was going through the worst moment of his life.

I urge you to judge for yourself and watch the whole interview, available on YouTube:

"President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that U.S. authorities had “caught 10 terrorists,” citing it as a reason for why the United States should build a wall on its Mexican border, but four government sources said there was no recent evidence of terrorism suspects being caught along the border."

The President can lead on terrorism by talking about Strasbourg and the fact that Islam hates us. He can remind people why he had suggested pausing Muslim immigration. I don't know what he gains by claiming 10 terrorists were caught at the southern border, if that statement ends up hurting his credibility. The fact is, three nice people in France were murdered Tuesday at a Christmas market, which had to close, all because of Muslim immigration. Donald Trump stands alone in trying to defend against that threat.

Chuck and Nancy were gloating about Trump said he would be proud to shut down the government, he owns that now.

Yes his base will be damn proud of him. You think we give three shits that all of the Anti American scumbags working over time to thwart our president and organize violent thug rabbles to bust us in the head for peacefully assembling, don't get a paycheck. All of the problems all of the organizing for the anti American sedition is happening inside our deepstate government their fagot staff. Fuck them let them miss Christmas, Godless freaks.

This is your source? "A senior U.S. counterterrorism official, speaking on condition of anonymity"? Bullshit.

The wall is still a stupid idea but 5 billion in border SECURITY would be a wise investment. Can we get the Mexicans to pay for that?

The wall is not stupid. Symbolism is important.

Still baffles me why nobody brings up strict enforcement of E-Verify.

Why do we need the mexicans to pay for it...$5 bil probably doesn't even cover the cost of doritos and soda bought with ebt

Yes, it's stupid, and it's the wrong kind of symbolism. It's going to do nothing to keep out drug runners and terrorists. If there's a profit motive, they'll find a way. They always find a way.

I'm in agreement with this. Employers need to have their feet held to the fire. It's bullshit and unfair to employers that play by the rules when they have to complete with other employers that skirt them.

So you would rather not have a wall if the mexicans don't pay?

So which political party would be in favor of this?
.......
......
....
Stumped yet?

It’s the reason we elected Trump. He stood for Americans’ concerns about outsourcing, freedoms and rights, PC policing, uncontrolled immigration, Islamic incursion aided by Obama, and other issues. Neither party would stand for any of that!
I think Trump would sign an E-verify bill tomorrow. But who is he going to get to vote for it in Congress? The MAGA coalition is not yet large enough to get anything done.

Pence couldn't stand or move, because he had a boner thinking about how the Dems would look stretched out on The Rack, howling in pain from their sin ridden penance.
