"SHANGHAI — Ivanka Trump’s brand continues to win foreign trademarks in China and the Philippines, adding to questions about conflicts of interest at the White House, The Associated Press has found."

“Ivanka Trump’s refusal to divest from her business is especially troubling as the Ivanka brand continues to expand its business in foreign countries,” Noah Bookbinder, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said in an email Monday. “It raises significant questions about corruption, as it invites the possibility that she could be benefiting financially from her position and her father’s presidency or that she could be influenced in her policy work by countries’ treatment of her business.”

Amazing that all these trademarks are being approved in the middle of trade negotiations. I'm sure that's just a coincidence, right?

At least Ivanka's clothing line isn't a charitable foundation formed by a husband who is an ex two term President, ostensibly for the purpose of using his status (and political skills) to do some good in the world. Screw the "deep state" and their pretensions. Am I right ?

This all means there is no possible conflict of interest with Ivanka somehow? Want to connect the dots on how that works for us?

Her "Daddy Did Me" T-shirts are sell outs across the globe.

What's troublesome about the Clinton's is the implication that they supposedly want to do good in the world, but have the gall to have their daughter taking a salary for working at foundation, when they clearly don't need the money, having made millions from books they authored. The Clinton's pretending they care about the country or the world is what was irritating. Typical holier than thow libruls. Aren't you annoyed by people that try so hard to do good in the world ?

Where as with Ivanka the pure greed and corruption implied without any pretensions of better intentions is more honest. With the Trump's, it's not a conflict of interest becasue the primary goal is enriching themselves. And there is no complicated supposed do gooder intentions hiding that.

It's just one of the many things that are "refreshing™ about Trump.

This is your idea of refreshing? Im so glad I have multiple citizenships.

It bothers you to have Chelsea work at the foundation, but trumps whole family being part of the business is refreshing Do you actually read what you write?

Bob do you pay any attention who your talking to ? You might recall I had some long arguments with you (I think) in which I was defending Hillary's mistaken use of her own email server for mostly non highly secure type messaging as not as big of a crime as many wanted to make it to be. I voted for Hillary and would have STRONGLY preferred her as president over Trump. She's basically a wonk with a wonk husband who was a two term President, and I believe she would have been a good president. I was intrigued by the idea of Bill being the first gentleman. And I don't buy most of the propaganda about the Clintons.

Meanwhile, I mostly post anti-Trump comments on here these days.

You really thought I meant this ?

Republicans elected a president

When the first line of an article is totally a lie, there's no sense reading on, it's just FAKE news and MORE TDS.

Independent Voters Flipped The Entire Presidential Election to Trump.

According to the exit polls in all three states, Clinton and Trump have near identical numbers in terms of the percent of their own party’s voters casting a ballot for them (i.e. it doesn’t appear “white males” from the Democratic Party jumped to Trump). Where Trump’s margins came from is with registered independent voters, and no one in the media is talking about this.

In Wisconsin and Michigan, registered independents accounted for approximately one-third of the vote.
