Unbelievable...yet totally understandable. Obama delivered an annual GDP growth rate over 8 years that was less than Hoover did over 4. Millennials came of age during that time. Now they are finally seeing normal economic growth (which is a boom to the 'shocked media') and waking up to how the world really works and thus SHOULD HAVE WORKED when Barry was in charge.

Exclusive: Democrats lose ground with millennials - Reuters/Ipsos poll

MANCHESTER, N.H. (Reuters) - Enthusiasm for the Democratic Party is waning among millennials as its candidates head into the crucial midterm congressional elections, according to the Reuters/Ipsos national opinion poll.

The online survey of more than 16,000 registered voters ages 18 to 34 shows their support for Democrats over Republicans for Congress slipped by about 9 percentage points over the past two years, to 46 percent overall. And they increasingly say the Republican Party is a better steward of the economy.

Although nearly two of three young voters polled said they do not like Republican President Donald Trump, their distaste for him does not necessarily extend to all Republicans or translate directly into votes for Democratic congressional candidates.

The Dem response? It will be the same as every response they have: "HATE TRUMP! HATE TRUMP! HATE TRUMP! NOTHING ELSE MATTERS BECAUSE WE HATE TRUMP!" ( clinical term for this is: TDS - Trump Derangement Syndrome )

...but that doesn't increase prosperity or make peace break out in Korea, which even Millennials are starting to figure out. Between this and Kanye leading the sharecroppers off the plantation, things are not looking good for the Democrats this November!

Blue Wave my ass.

They need a new slogan....Instead of "a chicken in every pot", switch it up to "a bucket of popeyes with 3 sides on every table".

I’ve said it before, and it’s a firm prediction.
The Democrats are in for yet another Obama-era “shellacking” in 2018.
Their horrible behavior and repulsive policies are turning even the Lefty faithful away.
They’ll be left with government workers, university faculty, most of the lawyers, most of the blacks, 2/3 the Latinos, and all the most special of the special snowflakes. That should give them a solid 40% of the vote.

A real shellacking!

I see some of that in students - there are more and more somewhat conservative types, at least in engineering and exact sciences. They have also started complaining about tuition, and not in a sense that "state does not give us enough money" but as "school charges us too much".

university faculty

Not in engineering for sure.

IF you all of the sudden had multiple job offers to choose from, you'd be partial to the party in power as well.

Is it Dems losing the Millennials or the political system as a whole? I'm Gen X and can't stand any of it.

I think the Democrats are driving away their base by playing their non-stop soundtrack of "racism, racism, racism" 24/7 for years on end.

People want to hear a different song once in a while.
