While you're marginally correct, I think you miss the main factor that brought Kanye around. Kanye has recently gone through a crazy phase brought on by being a full on drug addict. Having recovered from that (and Trump expressing encouragement at the time), he now associates that state of mind with the beliefs he held then as well. As you may remember, he was way into the black racist/Leftist way of thinking, even attacking Taylor swift at the Grammies. His bad behavior got eye rolls from the media, as well as hands over mouths to hide the snicker, but not condemnation. After all, he was expressing their dearly-held beliefs!
Now he's flipped and gone the other way, repenting of his Leftist ways.

The difference between Trump and Clinton (if that is what you were thinking) is not that one ran as a R and one as a D. It is the difference that 24 years makes. When Trump catalyzed the #metoo movement, it took out plenty of Ds as well as Rs. In fact, the Ds seem to be harder on offenders than Rs.

The best news about Kanye in a MAGA hat is that he won't be running in the D primary in 2020. That seems like a bullet dodged to me. We can only hope for #TrumpKanye2020. That way, the dyslexics will think it says #TrumpKenya2020.

The only question should be whether his actions are benefitting the country, and in the case of Trump, his actions definitely seem to be working. Economy on the upswing, no new wars, talking to North Korea, some actual crackdown on illegals and their employers, open talk about how past administrations betrayed the country with terrible trade deals and the export of manufacturing. Solid accomplishments in just a little more than a year, much better than the last few presidents.

I wouldn't care even if we hired a full time fluffer for him on the taxpayer dime. The important thing is that he keeps accomplishing good things for the people of the US.

NK issue might not be Trump but N Koreans blowing up their nuclear site, crackdown on illegals is more cosmetic (E-verify not introduced), and manufacturing upswing is the only thing that can be credited to him as businesses are not afraid of new, idiotic regulations. He has blown out budget deficit to proportions even Obama could not. I will be very happy if I am wrong in judging him, and for record I preferred him to Ms. Clinton who would have been a much greater disaster.

Trump needs Congress for mandatory E-Verify. It could have been exchanged for DACA, but the Dems just wanted an issue, not to solve the problem, they're happy with the Immigration status Quo. However of Rapefugees, Trump has pretty much closed the door. Also we are very, very strict about Somalians now, it's almost impossible for those Pirates to even get a tourist visa.
