Do you have any idea what the percentages of people are that want more gun control ? It's in the range of 80 to 95% depending on which specific proposal you're talking about.

I.e. restrictions on magazine sizes, semi-automatics, longer wait periods for some buyers, better background checks and so on. THe people lobbying congress not to do this (the NRA) are funded by the manufacturers of guns.

When I was a kid, many decades ago, the NRA was about the marksmanship, gun safety and so on. They didn't promote the sales of guns or political nonsense like they do today.

Spare me the BS about this or that rule won't change gun violence. That's sometimes or even usually true. But it's not a valid reason.

Hey TPB. I know you wish that 40Chan post to be true. But what probability would you assign to it being true ?

Maybe someone has a strong belief that google or someone is doing that so they wrote that. THat would be far more likely than that it was really written by someone at google.

IT actually sounds kind of like something you would write, although the grammer is too good.

Hi @marcus please try to stick to the point of the post instead of talking about the user who posted it, thanks.

It's an interesting post, and could well be true. Would be nice to have more evidence.

I’d be more surprised if it wasn’t true. Even freaking B-list celebrities are using Twitter bots to aid their perceived popularity! What chance is there that a Leftist org like Google isn’t using the same sorts of tools to advance the Leftist agenda? I think the only way to combat this is to stop granting validity to Twitter trends.

Doing something like this is corporate suicide - hard to imagine Google would be so dumb. I don't believe it, unless maybe a team is doing it without higher ups being aware of the details.

Funny it sounds like a role reversal of what supposedly has happened from the Rightist Camp.

I just asked him what probability he assigned to it being true or real ? That's not going to hurt his feelings.

OH, wait, I just remembered the part about maybe he wrote it. Nevermind.

So for those of you that know your Patnet History.
The Far Left Censorship Committee Brigade here on Patnet were calling me a Russian bot, or trying to claim anything or anyone they could make go away with typical shame and verbal pestilence. They jump on them then and dismiss them as Russian Bots. Funny how I was called a Russian bot don't you think? Then when all of the Establishment failed to elect Hillary they in retrospect claim. Well his supporters were Russian bots all along.

Why not? We already know the US Army was paying for (human) social media engineers to pump up Iraq/Afghan wars years ago, the contracts for having one-button switching between up to 10 multiple user social media accounts are public records. The Guardian reported it. If the behind-the-curve Army was looking at it, chances are it was already a thing with Silicon Valley.

We also know Alphabet execs on loan to the Obama regime were influencing the perception in favor of pro-Jihad ("Regime Dissenters" or "Moderate (only in comparison to ISIS) Rebels" ie Al Qaeda Affiliates) forces in Syria.

I think there's an 80% chance Social Media Monopolists assisted Remain in Brexit, and it'll eventually leak out.

I'd say there's a 90% chance Twitter, Jack and Prince Al-Waleed in the cockpit, are targeting opinions unfriendly to Neoliberalism, Post Modernism, and various Middle Eastern positions.

Twitter had banned Canary Mission for simply reposting the social media posts of "Peace Activists" and "Free Palestine" activists on Campus, when they thought only their friends and comrades were reading them. Britain First is flat out banned. Surprised they haven't banned Tommy Robinson yet.

Deflection and Accusing the Other of Doing what you do is a huge part of Human Nature and Crusading Neoliberals in particular.

No one would have called you a russian bot. Russian bots are pretty sophisticated usually.

Okay, maybe closer to 70%. I was listening to a guy on NPR.

But there are specific items that are in the over 90% category.
