Just days after Democrat Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.), became the third House Dem to file articles of impeachment, joining Trump antagonists Brad Sherman (Calif.) and Al Green (Texas) who both filed similar articles earlier this year, on Wednesday morning several House Democrats introduced five articles of impeachment targeting President Trump, claiming that Trump has violated the Constitution.

Following through on their threats, Democratic representatives Steve Cohen, Luis Gutierrez, Brad Sherman and Al Green were among those at a press conference, saying the five articles of impeachment come out of concern for the country's national security. The articles focus on Trump's firing of former FBI Director James Comey, perceived violations of the Emoluments Clause, as well as actions "undermining" the judiciary and freedom of the press.

"We believe that President Trump has violated the Constitution, and we've introduced five articles of impeachment," Cohen said at a press conference.

Did I just hear Cohen say part of his articles of impeachment are because Trump has been "Belittling and questioning our NEWS institutions"?

As I just said on another thread, apparently spying on the Reporters, including several at the AP, was no biggie.

Being mean towards the Press is an assault on the 1A, though.

The bourgeois has always been hypocritical, though.

LOL. Dumb politicians desperate for attention.
3   HEY YOU   2017 Nov 15, 9:07am

You can't impeach a fool elected by idiots.
4   Goran_K   2017 Nov 15, 11:05am

This is why they lost so many seats. No policies. No platform anymore. Just attack, attack, attack. What do Democrats even stand for anymore? Does anyone know?
5   BezrodnyiKosmopolit   2017 Nov 15, 12:31pm

Mark Levine kept on saying that Obama should be impeached. Turnabout is fair play.

Maybe somebody should go to the Democrat website and find out what they stand for

I think it would be much more fun if everybody said, 'I know right?,' had a sip of coffee, and went back to work.

See what I mean? People can't even answer such a simple question straight.

Have the Democrats offered a solution to ACA failures, or tax reform? Their entire platform is "We don't like what you're doing but we don't really have a solution of our own." That's why the DNC hit its lowest funding level in over a decade in July. Who wants to throw money behind a party that literally has suggested NOTHING as policy in 12 months besides "Hate this guy!"

When Trump talks i cringe but then I am reminded of the alternative on a weekly basis. Dems are being ran by their loudest constituents not their main stream base that does have some great principles. They are being directed by SJW, BLM, LGBT, and other crazy fringe groups. Repulicans have there religous nuts which are hard to deal with but not as bad as the left. Both are curupt, hypocritical, and sellouts to corporate masters. Democrats are much more hostile to me these days and unless they return to their roots and dump thier fringe parts I will vote against them. I I have an easier time dealing with the religious nuts even though I am an atheist.

Does this comment apply to this thread? The authors of the impeachment articles are not running the DNC. There are individual Dems in very liberal areas that find it politically convenient to draft these articles, even though everybody knows that they are not going anywhere.

Doesn't matter. The squeakiest wheel gets the oil (and most importantly all the TV air-time). This is what millions of people see on a daily basis on MSM and social media.

Luis's actions are trending Top 5 on FB right now actually.

I see a lot of boorish tactics based on smug lies, too many lies to start deconstructing them all, what a waste of time to make a comment unless that would be for right-wing shits and giggles.

Ahhh, that is where your downfall lies. If it does not match my opinion, it must be a lie.
I have a better way.... focus on what has worked, and what hasn't. Go ahead, tell us.

I don't see you enjoying your life. All we ever hear from you is the hell and misery you are in.
I really think you should live in Africa or Venezuela for a while to experience what real misery is like.
15   Tenpoundbass   2017 Nov 16, 9:37am

They are embarassing themselves.

The first reason they said they would impeach him before he was even inaugurated, they said he wouldn't get along with world leaders and would make us look bad on foreign trips.

Those same countries gave him the Ticker tape parade our on junk Media did not.

Is this you trying to be civil? I don't see what this comment is adding to the discussion. Can you please explain?

Trump drank from a water bottle while speaking. This is an impeachable offense!

21   anonymous   2017 Nov 16, 1:06pm

Wouldn't something like this be more on topic and referring to the OP?

Trump got on InfoWars and gave vague reasons for impeaching Obama "...Benghazi, the IRS scandals, and Obama’s plan to import thousands of Syrian refugees, there are countless reasons to list why Obama should be impeached and removed from office."

The democrats are only charging Trump with 5 offenses against the constitution. There exist 10 grounds to impeach Trump and they are specified in the American constitution:
1. Taking money from foreign governments, in violation of Article I Section 9 of the Constitution.
2. Colluding with a foreign power against the interests of the United States, considered treason.
3. Using the presidency for private gain, in violation of federal law (5 Code of Federal Regulations 2635.702).
4. Seeking to intimidate critics, in violation of the First Amendment.
5. Undermining the freedom and independence of the press, in violation of the First Amendment.
6. Attacking freedom of religion, in violation of the First Amendment.
7. Undermining the rule of law through arbitrary and capricious statements and orders, in violation of the Due Process clause of the First Amendment.
8. Suppressing the votes of minorities, in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment.
9. Obstructing justice (the investigation)
10. tolerating the illegal activities of subordinates.

I don't wish real misery on you, you already seem to be deeply touched by real misery, and I sympathize, really I do.

I've been to different parts of the world and seen the misery there. When I get back, I hear whining about how terrible America is. It's shocking. Americans need to really know how most of the world lives. Only then will you realize how lucky you are to be here.

Now how about discussing the 5 proposed grounds for impeachment?

There are no grounds for impeachment. It's all bullshit. Just politics as usual.

You talk about drugs and alcohol all the time. You obsess. You accuse many, but you never confess to your issue with them. People are not blind, they can see your conflicted lives the dirty tricks imply.

hmmmm. Yes, I need to confess. WTF do i confess about?
I wanted to kill a lot of drivers on the freeway if i could.
I wanted to have sex with that hot server.
And I confess, that fucking parking ticket i got after 10 years. I DID NOT see the fucking sign.
I also broke the speed limit.
I really can't think of any other crimes I did.

Don't forget your weekly shopping list:
1. 12 cases of Bud Light.
2. 3 bottles of Jamaican Rum.
3. 6 bottles of Tequila with extra worms.
4. 3 bottles of cheap whisky.

Yes, please. Thanks errc.

I should start a thread about the psychological mechanism that drives people to push other people's buttons. It's actually a pretty interesting phenomenon. It's probably learned on the schoolyard and carried through life.
