Following Kathy Griffin releasing an ISIS style photo of herself holding the decapitated head of President Donald Trump, Mike Cernovich and Alex Jones offered $1,000 rewards for photobombing CNN live shots with a sign that reads “CNN is ISIS,” along with the photo.

Griffin is a co-host of CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve coverage, and the network has not yet announced whether or not she will be pulled from future broadcasts. In a statement over the controversy, CNN stated that they “found what she did disgusting and offensive.”

“We are pleased to see she has apologized and asked that the photos be taken down,” CNN added. “We are evaluating our New Year’s Eve coverage and have made no decisions at this time.”

Unsatisfied with the response, Cernovich — a popular author, journalist, and InfoWars host — announced that he and Jones were offering the reward money.

Would be great to see "CNN is ISIS" shirts w/ Kathy Griffin on them. People photobomb CNN during live events. This will happen.

Big League Politics reached out to Cernovich, who sent us the proposed rules for the contest:

“We want you to win and do not want to create a bunch of boring rules. We also don’t want to play games. If you make a good effort, that might get you a prize,” the rules explain.

$1,000 prize for anyone who is seen on TV with a “CNN is ISIS” t-shirt or sign.
$2,500 prize for anyone who is seen on TV with a “CNN is ISIS sign” and who also is heard to say, “InfoWars.com ”!
Follow the law. Do not trespass or violate any other state or local law.
This contest is open for the next 30 days, or until $100,000 in prizes have been given out.
You can tag @realAlexJones under the hashtag #CNNisISIS

“Again, this is fun! We want to award as many prizes as possible. Even if you don’t quite make it on TV, post your pictures to Twitter and social media,” Cernovich added.

Cernovich also announced that InfoWars will be setting aside $100,000 to be paid out as rewards.

The contest is already generating enthusiasm.

During the election season, Infowars announced a contest offering up to $1,000 for anyone who gets on national television and asserts that the former president is a rapist, or $5,000 if they do it in Roger Stone’s infamous “rape” shirt. The challenge immediately went massively viral and many completed the stunt.

The first person to claim the $5,000 prize came just hours after the contest was announced, as a man crashed a live broadcast of Fox and Friends. The stunt cracked up Fox News host Tucker Carlson, and was an internet sensation.

So far, at least one venue that Griffin was supposed to appear at has cancelled her event. She has also been disavowed by “Squatty Potty,” a company that she had done a commercial for — who announced that they were pulling all of her ads.

Griffin has since tweeted a video apology, however, many noted that her eye rolling and lack of addressing the reasons she was sorry lead them to believe it was disingenuous.
