Much like how Obama repealed the Smith-Mundt Act, only to have Conservatives invent truthful Propaganda(Memes) to kick the living snot out of them, and rip the 2016 political agenda right out from under their noses.
While we should never celebrate the government stepping into a free speech fight. A truth to keep in mind, is the late night shows are basically state(one party) sponsored propaganda, and those shows should be shut down and all other propaganda mills as well.
But more importantly, this is a fight, all of the back seat Republican RINOs need to sit this one out. Now is not the time for the weak kneed milquetoast conservatives to be the voice of reason.
The Democrats started the assault on free speech, where were those voice of reason RINOs while the Democrats has been waging an all out assault on Conservative free speech, upping the ante at every turn. These Bastards has set the world stage for the free speech tyranny, that we see wide spread around the world.

If we take the high road and pull back on taking it all back to them. The only thing that will happen, we will play nice until they get back in power then it's full steam ahead again, with a vengeance.

If you recall at the time, we just saw the Las Vegas shooting. The Mockingbird media was calling for a total repeal of 2A.
Trump knew it would be over turned if challenged by SCOTUS, he took congressional action away from Congress, much harder to overturn. And made his own preemptive decision. How did banning bump stocks personally affect you? Courts are the biggie. Last line of defense. That's why Clarence Thomas needs to retire during Trumps term and Trump has the votes most likely for the new selection before the midterms. He's 77, but let's be honest, he's black and has a lower life expectancy. If you cannot guarantee a 2028 victory in the Congress and POTUS he's starting to become a liability above 80. I know it's a do nothing job and your minion attorneys write it up and you approve it, but still, you shouldn't be working at 80.

Sotomayor has some illness from what I've read. SCOTUS could be locked up generally more conservative for 20 years on 6-3 or even 7-2 margin. And if we can get another 8 years after Trump, the lower federal courts could be way better. We're at a pivot point. Conservatives are awful at getting out the vote, sad thought but I'm hoping that Kirk dying wakes them up.
