Sorry, it's not based on religion. His correct exemption for persecuted religious minorities is in keeping with out statues and treaties regarding refugees that explicitly name persecution of religion as being a valid reason to take refugees. The President is explicitly allowed to pick and choose which class of immigrant that will be admitted (along with general powers to exempt individuals).

Is SCOTUS going to say an EO that mentions the already-extant classification of persecuted religion members as refugees is Unconstitutional?

Not on your nelly.

If the Multicult judicial activisms this EO out of existence, here is the precedence you've set:

You can't allow persecuted refugees into the country if you banned citizens of the nation state where they reside generally.

You could not have admitted Armenians if you banned Turkish Citizens.
You could not have admitted dissident Lutheran Pastors or JWs or Jewish Victims of the Krystalnacht if you banned citizens of Nazi Germany.

In fact, you may not be able to bar any national state non-citizens from entry on ethnic prejudice grounds, since most states are dominated by a single ethnicity (or religion).

A wasp republican nominated by Bush is a multicult(?) judicial activist? You are losing any and all touch with reality.

Nope. Bush W and Jeb! are both "compassionate" conservatives ready to help pea packers, chicken pluckers, Walmart and fast food businesses crush wages with immigrants.

Their picks are likely to reflect this core belief.

Admit that you don't care about these people, only about the argument. You know these immigrants are closed-minded, fundamentalist zealots, only far removed from our own Christian fundamentalists in the sense that they don't ostracize their own nut cases with enough fervor. Even 30 years ago, juries full of fellow Christians put away the abortion clinic bombers with quick dispatch. Bill Maher is right about this. Leftists should be deriding that culture with as much vitriol as they save for Southern Bible Thumpers.

So why do these immigrants want to come to America, I wonder. Job Opportunity? At whose expense? Housing? At whose expense? Health Care? At whose expense? Steady Meals? At whose expense? The American Dream? ...

The dream is dead. You've all turned into Socialists who fancy themselves to be Robin Hood. "Take from the richer than myself and give to the government; then make the poor subservient to that same government. Failing that, print your own money and forgive my bad investments, I'm too big to sink. Oh, and keep those smelly low-life peon welfare cases out of my gated community. Haven't I done enough for them?"

There's nothing American about the Socialist Dream. And the taxes you pay fall 4000 miles short of covering the debt. Don't pretend to find moral justification there.

It's not Socialism, it's Bastille Day we're spiraling towards. As long as the flaws of fiat money are hidden in credit default swaps and derivatives voodoo, there is no capitalism either.

Both sides, right AND left, are happily Keynesian. They fear no debt, no corruption as long as its big enough. There are no institutions brutally brainwashing this middle ground position. There are only about ten people even IN this neighborhood.

The entire Left Coast was held aloft by debt and wealthy favoritism. That includes your money. America became a society which only consumes and houses the dollar.

Chinese shadow bank laundering via derivatives is your current benefactor. Ask the next Chinese Real Estate buyer you happen across what he does for a living...he will say "Exporting".

So you are saying trumps executive order reduces the total number of immigrants per year? I'm sorry I missed that part. Want to post the relevant sections? I'll wait, and wait, and wait.

I'm not guessing on the insane mathematics of derivatives. They add up to disaster. Last time they hit the fan, the Fed paid for it and supposedly saved the day. They will try to do the same again, because hiding the debt is all they know, but this time there isn't enough money in the world.

I agree with you that John M. Keynes wouldn't agree with the bastardization of his concepts, but His is the holy visage on the mantelpiece. He is the excuse.

And Granny gets to retire? What a lucky broad! She lived in the only period in history when there ever was such a thing as "retirement". In the future, people will fear the day they are "retired" - with or without insurance.

With China, we may not go to hell, but we will probably go to war. They don't strike me as blowhards like the Iranians do. That South China Sea belongs to them. It would be a predictable distraction for the pitchfork-wielding renters of both continents.
