Trump disappoints his supporters daily as reports say he has deep business ties to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Trump is like a box of chocolates

When has Trump said he hates Muslims? Source? Please don't mention the temporary ban he has suggested.

I will mention the ban, because in the beginning, it was a hateful, blanket ban. Now I admit he modified the ban, to included only terrorist nations. However, he seems to support the leadership of Syria so that is confusing if he thinks that nation is a terrorist nation. I have thought it possible that gas was a false flag from the rebels. I don't know. Trump's guy to deal with that doesn't know either. Here is the deal, Trump is tweaking foreign policy. He needs to tread slowly with Iran, or Putin will cease to be his friend. The middle east is complicated. We helped screw up Syria. Obama stopped a real war in Syria as the Zionists wanted it. But now there is even division in Israel regarding Iran. So, it is a complicated mess. Saudi Arabia appears to be our ally, I guess, but Trump wants to slap tariffs on oil? Crazy.

Also, Trump is supported by haters of Muslims, virtually all Muslims. However, before he ran he objected to Pam Geller stirring up radicals. Yet Trump did the same thing in the beginning. That was bad.

And Wookie, Trump is a Muslim hater to the right wingers. They consider him to be that even if he modified. He obviously does business with Muslims. He apparently is more tolerant of Muslims than many on these boards!

He is disappointing many of his hardline supporters. The jury is out about how Trump will behave under pressure when he cannot get what he wants like he can in business.

I don't think he can help the rural areas without 1. Those areas allowing factories and 2. allowing the Chinese to put more factories, as they have started to do. Instead of a trade war, the Chinese need to be encouraged to provide jobs to Americans.

It is fact that the Chinese are starting to locate business in the USA. A trade war will end that. That makes no sense, Mark.

And again, as far as Muslims are concerned, Trump appears to be more tolerant than many on these boards who want total war against Muslims, like Strategist. And Patrick is pretty radicalized against Muslims too. Maybe not so much as Strategist.

supporting Assad, a secular guy is better than supporting ISIS/ISIL.

Similarly, supporting Mubarak in Egypt is better than supporting the muslim brotherhood

Also similarly, supporting Saddam Hussein makes more sense than ISIS/ISIL

I'm not being funny. I'm being honest and forthright. The Left's focus is creating division across a variety of lines: race, gender, sexual preference, etc. Most of the country is trying to move forward without assigning labels to people or dumping them into buckets, but the Left loves to assign labels and create division...yet it's the very thing they're professing to resolve. Oh the irony.

Bans based on ideology are perfectly legal, have been upheld by SCOTUS many times, and are still very much on the books though not enforced.

At the very least, there is an identifiable ideology to Wahabism, Political Islamism, Salafism, etc. and therefore immigration of such individuals can be banned.

Or you can ban by country, which is also legal.

The only provisions of various immigration acts on ideology that were ever restricted by the Supremes were ones that required self-incrimination of current naturalized citizens as violating the 5th, and some on Free Speech and Free Association grounds - but ONLY for citizens, not for resident aliens or illegals. In Fact, the Supremes have confirmed several times that Congress' Constitutional power to regulate immigration however they see fit is near total.

Whenever there is a declared war between the United States and any foreign nation or government, or any invasion or predatory incursion is perpetrated, attempted, or threatened against the territory of the United States by any foreign nation or government, and the President makes public proclamation of the event, all natives, citizens, denizens, or subjects of the hostile nation or government, being of the age of fourteen years and upward, who shall be within the United States and not actually naturalized, shall be liable to be apprehended, restrained, secured, and removed as alien enemies. The President is authorized in any such event, by his proclamation thereof, or other public act, to direct the conduct to be observed on the part of the United States, toward the aliens who become so liable; the manner and degree of the restraint to which they shall be subject and in what cases, and upon what security their residence shall be permitted, and to provide for the removal of those who, not being permitted to reside within the United States, refuse or neglect to depart therefrom; and to establish any other regulations which are found necessary in the premises and for the public safety.
(R.S. § 4067; Apr. 16, 1918, ch. 55, 40 Stat. 531.)

Bans anarchists, beggars, and epileptics. Defines Anarchists.

Not to mention high immigration's impact on national unity, civil society, rents and housing (why landlords love it), and wages (why business, esp. low end service/resource extraction industires, loves it).

Note the most prosperous time for the working and middle classes US History, when their political and economic power was the strongest, dovetails with low immigration.

One country we definitely need to add to the list of a country-wide ban is Pakistan, even more so than Saudi Arabia.

72% of the population either supported ISIS, or refused to condemn it.

Also it's great for entry level IT people.

Last time I checked, we are not fighting a declared war.

Actually, I am slightly encouraged by Trump's connections. I was made fun of by many of you guys for posting the following pic. But Trump is building these golf courses. He doesn't hate these people. I am encouraged by that. But, as I say, under pressure, could he revert? Again, it is day by day and the nation hopes for the best.

The Syrian people, left to their own devices, will select sharia and isis.

I don't support Syria but I support those who can keep the radicals in check. In this case, that person is Assad.

Trump shouldn't support importing refugees unless they can produce, but even that won't stop an abu nidal Malik from slipping through cracks every now and then
