The estimable Charles Hugh Smith-
"America's Ruling Elite is freaking out because a significant percentage of the American public is trying to fire them. The Ruling Elite has failed and deserves to be fired, and deep down, they know it--and this awareness of their self-serving failure fuels their panic and their loathing of the non-elite Americans who are trying to fire them."

"Let's review the central institutions of the nation:
1. Healthcare: a failed system doomed to bankrupt the nation.
2. Defense: a failed system of cartels and Pentagon fiefdoms that have saddled the nation with enormously costly failed weapons systems like the F-35 and the LCS.
3. Higher Education: a bloated, failed system that is bankrupting an entire generation while mis-educating them for productive roles in the emerging economy. (I cover this in depth in The Nearly Free University and the Emerging Economy and Get a Job, Build a Real Career and Defy a Bewildering Economy.)
4. Foreign policy: Iraq: a disaster. Afghanistan: a disaster. Libya: a disaster. Syria: a disaster. Need I go on?
5. Political governance: a corrupt system of self-serving elites, lobbyists, pay-to-play, corporate puppet-masters, and sociopaths who see themselves as above the law."

We will see if the American voter is up to the American task, of removing these losers from power.

Our task is clear: Install someone who built his political career on a claim that Barack Obama was born in Kenya, while leaving gerrymandered-in old-school wingnut extremists in control of the House of Representatives.

I don't see how any president will change anything until the current teatards in the House are gone.

removing these losers from power.

And replacing them with new(D & R) losers!

Those that aren't happy, could you recall the D & R losers in your city, county, state?
DID YOU?

Is it appropriate to say, STFU?

I find him pretty insightful. Refreshing to hear from a local blue collar autodidact instead of the self-serving hallowed hall narrative.
(Paul Krugman... talking to you, you smug prick)
Also, the hardest working blogger on the internet. Posts every damn day.

The american medical care system has failed, so fire all the doctors and let people at jiffylube take over as heart and brain surgeons.

Agree. I'm likely going to hold my nose and vote McGinty tomorrow, to help to flip the Senate. Toomey is trash, and tomorrow is trash day, to the curb with him.

It's a shame that the democrat party operatives don't understand what you posted. They've wasted so much political capital propping up the worst candidate in modern history, when they could have let momentum run it's course, left Bernie to be the nominee, and focused their energy on bringing the party together, in order to fight to take back the House. Instead of fracturing the electorate and wasting all their energy trying to force Hillary into the presidency.

The Clinton Family is the face of entrenched Establishment power, via political privilege, that the Labor class of this country is at odds with. They've taken and taken so much for so long, that the Labor class is willing to grab hold of anything that might possibly seem not of their ilk, to keep from drowning.

There's only one explanation at this point, why some of you still don't get it. It's above your pay grade. You like your State sanctioned privileges, and you can't afford to lose them.

Unless you hate America and you see Hillary being beneficial to the final destruction would anyone vote for her.

The only way to fire them is with a firing squad.

You can say that all these societal institutions failed BUT, but from the POV of wealthy all these institutions have been successfully harnessed to provide them with vast wealth pipeline extracted from the paycheck class.

And these individuals, who are they sending the bulk of their contributions to? Big Mouth or Witch of War and Wall Street?

That's not a fair question, because of the answer

They know that so they hide out behind guards, in tinted glass vehicles, on top of towers, on yachts, at offshore secured enclaves where only they can go such as Caribbean islands where they have shell corporation financial services, Monte Carlo, Dubrovnik, Montrose Switzerland, mountain resorts in Colorado.

Not only do they have their own enforcement but they also donate to city and county police.

True, which is why the only successful coups are the ones staged by the military. Imagine if all the cannon fodder decided to rise up against the ruling class like an army of Rambos.

Can you imagine these 9 to 13 year olds that are all pro Trump. By time they are 16 - 19 Trump will be a cultural Icon for them. I can see them sporting some Che line-art like designs on hip clothing in a few years.
This is the demographic to watch in 2020, election regardless of this election's outcome. Even if many in that group aren't able to vote. An impassioned youth has a way to sway the vote. It's how Reagan got elected. If you were a middle child in 1967 you were pretty much forgotten. They were the Republican youth of the 80's by time they turned voting age.

It's a fair question, but there are many reasons why people support Clinton besides "because she'll protect the establishment".

She's running against the biggest clown to ever win the nomination of a major party--that is also a plausible answer.

Not really.

Those blond girls in the duo "Prussian Blue" used to serenade white power rallies and wear costumes with Hitler mustaches. They woke up in high school, and they're now liberals.

20   HEY YOU   2016 Nov 7, 11:31am

The silver lining to america's problems is that
D & R voters had no part in the FUBAR.

DIE R/Ds! Yesterday!

And New Zealand. The ultimate gated community.
Apparently the super rich, Chinese, Russian, Tech, Hedgies, they all smell smoke.
And they love NZ. Jump in the jet and "See Ya Suckers!"

How's it feel 8 years later to have all that "hope" used against us? Trump is right about one thing. It is all rigged, no matter who wins.
