At least put it on youtube, facebook etc., with her info. "Attack of the dog shit lady!" You could go around, do some interviews with afflicted neighbors. Professionally masking their image and voice of course. Get a kid! Yeah, get a kid to comment. "Lady said I was privileged and tried to take my bike When I rode away she flung shit on me!"

Am i wrong to expect the cops to care about a lady who threw shit on me? I can only imagine the hysteria if roles were reversed, and I, a white man threw dogshit on a black woman. I have witnesses, and a video of her ranting afterwards. I no longer have shit on my arm. Also the cops laughed and left. Is there any way i have legal recourse against this woman? I will go speak w the alderman at townhall. I am legit seeing sexism in this department though. I broke up w a girl a year ago. She was tiny, non threatening physically, but went insane. She would show up at my unit door inside my building at all hours of the day, after i blocked her phone number, etc... After she did this 4 times of breaking/entering and ignoring my requests to leave me alone, i went to the cops to file a report. All the while her sister is sending threatening messages to me on social media, saying she knew where i lived and to look over my should, etc... The cops didnt care. She hadnt stolen anything or hurt me in any way, so they wouldnt even file a report. As a man, am i not allowed to press charges against a woman? How is this not systemic sexism? This black woman committed actual class 1 felony, the cops act like its a joke. Am i supposed to smack-a-hoe next time? I legit dont get it

I legit dont get it
THere was a story, easy to look up, of a guy who is spending his own money to hire an off duty cop to patrol his neighborhood in Chicago (near north I think). HE wanted the hustlers, dealers, gang bangers to avoid the blocks near his building. It's clear the number of cops in Chciago is less than it might be. That is that they don't have enough cops to keep up with small time crime. To busy following up on higher level (worse) crimes.
I agree that's sad, but it's not that surprising. We also don't have enough resources to take care of the mentally ill (a healthcare issue of sorts).

Come on Marcus. You know that every time a cop hears a complaint from a black guy, they drop everything and try to help. They stop at nothing to chase down every white guy who wrongs a black guy. This is clearly reverse racism.

If you REALLY want to fuck over a home owner, get a hold of some drums of industrial waste and leave them on her property then call the EPA. She will probably lose the property over the fines and mandatory cleanup and abatement fees.

LOL you're on your own man. I wasn't advocating such a thing, just remarking on a loophole where the government becomes incredibly unfair to normal citizens. If I were you, I would knock on her door, introduce myself, and give each other a chance at treating their neighbor like a decent person. Honey catches more flies than vinegar. Maybe she was just having a truly bad day? Or maybe she's been believing the bullshit the media is preaching to POC about how everyone is out to get them. Break the chain of bad with kindness.

Update: I skipped cubs celebratory mania, and went to the local station 12 Chicago police department. After telling them my story, they were uniformly upset w the officer who told me there was no crime last night. They assumed he just didn't want to take the time to write up a report. In fact, I heard rumblings of them discussing their displeasure with this officer between themselves. All 3 officers I spoke with today agreed I was a victim who deserved the right to file a report w intent to press charges.
The initial report is filed. All I need to do now is take my form to a clerk to file a warrant for arrest. (I'm sure I'm using improper words here.) I am supposed to call the lead detective first, to discuss if it's worth my time to do so... but the officer today seemed supportive of the concept. Noone like a shit-tosser.
Its all in my hands at this point. I can start the process, and/or end it at any time. What does pat.net think I should do to this shit-tosser? 1)Take it all the way? 2)Ask her for a heartfelt apology? 3)Ignore it and move on?

She should be prosecuted in exactly the same way as a black man would be if he threw dogshit on a white woman, or a white woman threw dogshit on a black man, or a white man threw dogshit on a black woman. If found guilty, she should face extra penalties for trying to criminalize you with accusations of "threatening her" and "scaring her".

A small quibble: Beware that it is not YOU that "press charges". It is the prosecutor (DA) that presses charges, at their discretion. Your job is to encourage prosecution by offering the video as evidence, as well as agreeing to testify in court. If you do, the DA likely WILL press charges, meaning the DA will bring the case to a grand jury and ask for indictment.
Did you provide the video to the police? Did you record the license plate of the Uber car? Did you get the name or address of the corroborating witnesses?

She was screaming that she'd throw more shit, that she'd kick my ass... i didnt engage. I called the cops instead. She heard me call, immediately stopped bullying and flipped the script to "You assaulted me too" (with words, that i never said) "Leave me alone." "Youre crazy."

Some items that would help:
1. any security camera video that showed the attack
2. DNA test of dogpoop to show that it came from her dogs
Story: was walking my dog today. Came across a 200 pound black woman who had 2 hyper (non-aggressive, but HYPER and big) dogs w her. I get 5 feet from her, when she tells me to cross the street instead. I retort "I'm good" and keep walking. Her dogs sorta pull her around making her job of picking up dogshit more difficult. She calls me an asshole, so I tell her to train her dogs better and keep walking. This woman snaps. She stands up straight and throws bags of dogshit at me, hitting me in the side as I walk by. I look down, see dog shit on my arm. So I call the police. I get the feeling she thought nothing would happen-- since I'm a non threatening white dude, and she has 2 big dogs... but I was pissed. SO... she hears me talking to the police and she tries to run. I follow her fat ass, and tell her she has 3 options 1)wait for police, 2)go home, in which case I will follow her and include her address in the report or 3)she can get in a car, and the license number becomes part of the report. She immediately breaks down into, YOU WERE THREATENING ME....MAKING ME FEEL THREATENED...IT WASNT MY FAULT. YOU'RE A HUGE MAN THREATENING A SCARED WOMAN...NOW YOU ARE FOLLOWING ME HOME TO ATTACK ME etc, etc, etc... I sat there watching, recording, unphased. Funny ending, she had some guy come get her dogs and walk away. She then called an UBER... and sped away in it. So, a neighbor comes outside and tells me she lives literally where we were standing AND that she had thrown poop at others in the past. The neighbors were glad I was taking a stand. Here's my biggest rub. The cops didnt care... they suggested I report her to townhall meeting but say they had better things to worry about. Here's the thing. I looked up throwing shit on someone, ITS A CLASS 1 FELONY. Sexual assault is also a CLASS 1 FELONY. The cops literally didnt care that a black woman committed a class 1 felony on me... but the judge who sentenced Brock to only 6 months in prison hates women. This is systemic sexism against men.
