Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb immediately claimed credit for the assault that had similarities to a November hotel attack in nearby Mali that left 22 dead, reported a Mauritania-based news agency. CNN could not independently confirm that claim.

It's because of Burkina Faso's long history of colonialism in the Middle East.

2   dublin hillz   2016 Jan 16, 9:18am

3 step solution:

1. "Liquidate" the madrassa radicals.
2. Legalize alcohol
3. Outlaw poligamy

Watch the forces of evolution that they deny work their magic.

1a. Bomb Saudi Arabia. That's who built the madrassa, pays the radicals clerics salary, pays the radical teachers salary, puts out the radical textbooks.

You're better than this Patrick. A qaeda or Isis are not the same as Islam.

"In nations with significant Muslim populations, much disdain for ISIS"

It would be sort of like a foreigner assuming that I am just like Ammon Bundy, or that I think professional wrestling is cool, or that I think like Donald Trump, just because I'm an American. IT makes for an amusing generalized slam against Americans, but it's kinda bs.

actually, there are 40 billion muslims! and a billion more in the time it took me to type this! why do you keep undercounting them? lol. funny how every time you hear the number it's higher.

in reality, and in all seriousness, isis is perfect islam. it is coherent, serious, and follows the koran and mohammed exactly. saudi arabia taught them well. what exactly do you think are they doing that is not islamic, or that was not done by mohammed? mohammed also slaughtered non-muslims, raped the women, took them slaves, stoned, beheaded, and on and on. that is what islam commands you to do. at least they are honest about it, while you are not.

sure, most muslims are not terrorists, but that's only because they are not following the religion as mohammed taught it. you're in denial, and that's understandable because it's such an ugly truth, but it is the truth.

http://www.faisalalmutar.com/2015/11/16/i-am-a-jihadist-and-i-am-tired-of-not-being-given-credit/

It must be incredibly frustrating as an Islamic Jihadist not to have your views and motives taken seriously by the societies you terrorize, even after you have explicitly and repeatedly stated them. Even worse, those on the regressive left, in their endless capacity for masochism and self-loathing, have attempted to shift blame inwardly on themselves, denying the Jihadists even the satisfaction of claiming responsibility.

It’s like a bad Monty Python sketch:

“We did this because our holy texts exhort us to to do it.”

“No you didn’t.”

“Wait, what? Yes we did…”

“No, this has nothing to do with religion. You guys are just using religion as a front for social and geopolitical reasons.”

“WHAT!? Did you even read our official statement? We give explicit Quranic justification. This is jihad, a holy crusade against pagans, blasphemers, and disbelievers.”

“No, this is definitely not a Muslim thing. You guys are not true Muslims, and you defame a great religion by saying so.”

“Huh!? Who are you to tell us we’re not true Muslims!? Islam is literally at the core of everything we do, and we have implemented the truest most literal and honest interpretation of its founding texts. It is our very reason for being.”

“Nope. We created you. We installed a social and economic system that alienates and disenfranchises you, and that’s why you did this. We’re sorry.”

“What? Why are you apologizing? We just slaughtered you mercilessly in the streets. We targeted unwitting civilians – disenfranchisement doesn’t even enter into it!”

“Listen, it’s our fault. We don’t blame you for feeling unwelcome and lashing out.”

“Seriously, stop taking credit for this! We worked really hard to pull this off, and we’re not going to let you take it away from us.”

“No, we nourished your extremism. We accept full blame.”

“OMG, how many people do we have to kill around here to finally get our message across?”

A strict reading of the Koran supports patrick's position.
Most muslims do not adhere to a strict interpretation of the koran, just as most christians do not adhere to a strict reading of the bible.
At this point in history, the islamists are the ones stirring up the most trouble in the name of the koran.
Thus the focus should be aimed at them.
Vice versa if the christians were the active virus.

The Koran and the Bible are not analogous.

The Koran is a manual for war.

All the recommended violence in the Bible is in the old testament, and never advocates global takeover, just the takeover of Israel (which admittedly is still a problem with that religion).

Note that Christians eat bacon. The Old Testament laws mostly do not apply to them. Jesus killed no one, raped even fewer, and definitely did not fuck a 9 year old girl at the age of 53, unlike Mr. Example for All Humanity...

I don't know of a single American who thinks all Muslims are terrorists. Claiming so is a feeble attept to squelch free speech by those who are in denial.
Won't stop me. As far as I am concerned, Islam and its shariah laws are nothing but terrorism. Those who believe in Islam and the shariah laws, are nothing but terrorists and supporters of terrorism.
I am visiting a Muslim country right now. Love the place. Does not change my opinions one iota.

You've been taking math lessons from CIC and Indiginous I see. There are only 7.1 billion people in the whole world. Wait, I know, it's exponential. According to CIC's calculations 63 trillion people now have ebola.

So either you are not an American citizen or you don't understand the concept of contradiction. Did you actually read what you wrote?

I purchased the Saudi towel they wear on their heads when we went on a desert safari. I guess I am a Saudi now. My goal is to get the belly dancer we saw as my second wife.

So now you do want to bring muslim terrorists into the US. You really need to make up your mind where you stand.

18   deepcgi   2016 Jan 17, 9:22am

Just a question for the more learned. Did Muhammed have forced sex with slaves or concubines? And what percentage of young Muslim men would say that women in western countries, who don't at least wear head scarves, are "asking for" sexual abuse? Be honest now.

I'm not really interested in having a semantics discussion that it is impossible to force sex on a slave whose "will" does "not exist". I was already being more than fair by not calling it rape.
