That's like $50K for each Bus, that's probably 10X cheaper than an average new American state of the art, diesel powered city bus.

I thought you clowns liked math?

I know it's tough with a very limited attention span and an overwhelming desire to fire up the next doobie but you've really got to learn to read the article not just the headline. Ballards is getting 17M for the fuel cells to put into the buses.

bob2356 - you must have read some of his old posts as well. This should help explain all of the disconnected thoughts and a lot of the connected ones as well.....

Yea, but he was a lot more fun in the old days before endless incoherent ranting about liberals. It would almost (key word here almost) be worth having bernie win to see tenpound/captain/happyclit's brain explode.

I like how people that have never smoked pot, like to comment on it's ill effects the most. Pots ill effects are temporary, and the benefits outweigh the temporary negative benefits.

First off: "it's" is the wrong call (the possessive of pronouns has no apostrophe), followed close behind by "pots", which needs an apostrophe. That's two straight blown apostrophe calls, from a staunch advocate of learning English; an advocate who writes 2,000-4,000 words a day of angry rants on message forums, but can't be bothered, once and for all, to learn to use the apostrophe.

From this point we wade into the thicker jungle - with gun and camera - to discover the concept of "negative benefits" and learn that the ill effects are temporary. But if you're stoned all the time, what difference does it make that the "negative benefits" are temporary?

What else do you need?
Once you have 300 fuel cells, you can put them in existing chassis.

I stand by my assertion that China is more efficient than our greenie bastards, when it comes to green energy.
Our green companies would want no less than 3 billion to develop 300 fuel cells.
With 150 billion up front, then they would file chapter 11 the next year.

This was my interpretation too. A bus driven by an electric motor is just standard stuff.

But also Fuel Cell tech is very simple.

I have book right in my shelf showing how to build one with an ordinary drill press and some sheet metal!

The most expensive part is the membrane which is often Nafion, a proprietary material made by DuPont.

However, the membrane is basically just a plastic sheet! If China wanted to create and print its own, and use that, I'm sure they have ways, and acting as single business superentity they wouldn't charge themselves a high cost for that!

I can make one with duct tape and Bukey balls and a grilling fork.
