The findings are explosive. The document amounts to a warning that the IMF will not take part in any EMU-led rescue package for Greece unless Germany and the EMU creditor powers finally agree to sweeping debt relief.

Greek debt is about 320 Euros; Total European Debt is about 12.3 Euros. Greek debt is a teeny tiny fraction of EU debt.

Some interesting observations:

Irish per capita debt is almost half again more than the Greeks'.
Sweden's debt per capita is about 30% below the European Total.
Germany's per capita debt is only a bit smaller than Greece's.
The UK has less per capita debt than Germany.

Maybe Greece is the dark swimming figure in the mist & another event will bring the eerie figure into the light.
