So much for "we got it under control" mantra spread by the politicians who are afraid to admit that they have nothing under control at all.

Sirs/Madams,

A person infected in the middle of the incubation period gets on a flight. Feeling unwell the person goes to the gym upon arrival at their destination. While they may not be 101.5 F, the virus is building up and they dont know if its Jet Lab or something like a virus.

Would the Gym sweat of the person just presenting with symptoms, getting into a high sweat transfer situation change the Pinf or calculus of the Pinf metric?

NOw a deputy might have it.
I'll be so glad when we get rid of this Fountain Drink President, and get a bottle of the good stuff.

Yes, any good President would have handled this Ebola thing so differently.

THey would also probably better appreciate the necessity of some tax cuts for the high incomes to get the economy back on it's feet again.

4   Tenpoundbass   2014 Oct 8, 11:23pm

NO that's not what I'm saying at all. Any other president would have been President for their experience in dealing with crisis like this.

Is this really a crisis? We had one person fly into the US that died of Ebola. Is that what constitutes a crisis these days?

What former president has experience dealing with an ebola patient in dallas? You make less sense all the time.

When a democrat is president everything from sunspots to celebrity hemmoroids are a crisis to be blamed on the president as per the far right hysterical loonie fringe.

Hasn't the big O done enough of a crappy job without having to make things up for christ sakes?

Why is the death of an ebola patient a signal to you that it's time for an attack on Obama?

11   Tenpoundbass   2014 Oct 9, 12:14am

Why is a black president a signal for you to excuse incompetence of this man's administration?

It comes from the top down. There's a deputy who went into the Ebola Patient's house, with other health workers. He's now sick.
Don't forget before it came here, they were hyping how serious and deadly it is in Africa. Now that it's here, were not supposed to worry about it?
Perhaps on a good day, but this isn't a good day. We're being managed by an incompetent Burger joint staff.

If this was a Republican you guys would be all over his stupid ass.

I know. We all know. It was just the 32176573rd random nonsensical Obama bashing comment that doesn't even remotely fit into this thread.

We get it, you hate Obama. Maybe you're paid like 75 cents per Obama hate comment and you're getting rich doing it.

No. In facdt that's the big difference between liberals and teabagger Obama haters. Liberals are generally too smart and too honest to try to make a connection where none exists.

You seem to have a highly expansive view of the role of the federal government. To the point that the executive branch manages all local hospitals and directly controls all police precincts.

Impressive.

23   Entitlemented   2014 Oct 9, 4:16am

Not doing any about Obola leads to not only to a higher probability of uncertainty unrest.

All "lack" of activities, lack of leadership, vacuum of decisions, undermining all his government agencies, dramatically increases unrest.

Perception, Deception, which are the tools of Socialist and Marxist rhetoric are on full gas right now.

USA is on the brink of Socialism - how do we feel about this?

The point is to prevent a crisis, not wait till it becomes a problem and deal with it after the fact. You get out of a burning building right away, not after it engulfs you.

This administration gives me the impression that they are clueless, as usual, and have no idea what they are doing or will do. Maybe they'll eventually fire another admin staff member, or blame some lower level employees... the usual Obama mess.

I'm not so sure that they are afraid. Being politicians, they are conditioned to think "what's the upside for me". When they see an advantage to declaring they have nothing under control, they'll all jump on that bandwagon.

28   FortWayne   2014 Oct 9, 8:17am

It's truly odd that only Republican politicians are calling for temporarily ban flights from few countries with epidemic, while Democrats are sitting on their ass doing nothing.

Here some average poor folks out on strike. And those are the typical Obama voters. So you can say Obama is letting down just about everyone with his inaction. He is vocal when he is running for election, he is playing golf when he isn't.

Obama is just like Tom Cotton who voted against preparing America for pandemics like Ebola. Who voted to cut billions from our nation’s medical disaster and emergency programs. . . . Instead, Cotton voted for tax cuts for billionaires funding his campaign, rather than protecting our families.

You can say Democrats these days aren't any different from what they accused Republicans of.

Is it that we want to stop Ebola in Africa, where it's raging? Or just that we want to prevent a handful of people on American soil from dying?

So far as I can see, no American citizens who have remained on American soil has died of this disease. So don't go to Africa, problem solved for Fox News watchers. Not that very many of them have ever gotten a passport anyhow.

A kid in NC just died of influenza. In a slow year it kills about 3,000.

Let's see... seasonal influenza has been in this country for how many decades?

An Indian lands in America, carrying Leprosy, are we all doomed? Nope.

Most cases of influenza these days seem to originate in Asia. Don't recall anyone wanting to go to RED ALERT, close borders, and start burning money during 2009 H1N1. It's funny to me how terrified "conservatives" get from their shadow, and how unhinged they get. Suddenly "fiscal conservatives" start screaming to open the wallet and how DARE you say we have to examine this for cost/benefit.

How is turning around everyone who visited Africa during last 21 days equals to "burning money"? The money paid to keep CBP officers on duty will be burned anyway. This common sense measure is practically free. As in no cost. Even if there is no benefit, we still lose nothing.

YEs, it's true. Democrats with their fancy pants *facts* and *reasoning* aren't going to panic until the scientists tell them there is the slightest reason why they should.

Although, Obama has taken plenty of action regarding Africa, likely more than Bush would have.

The new Nigerian con: buy a plane ticket for your Ebola infected relative to the USA, and after they die while burning up hundreds of thousands of free medical dollars, sue the hospitals and doctors for negligence combined with race card guilt tripping so the family makes a pile of scumbag legal-bucks.

It's touching the way the fourth worlders adapt so quickly to our system.

I wonder who gets to pay his $500K bill for treatment?

If he is uninsured, you will be paying for it (we all will be pitching in to help the hospital get paid).

If he has insurance under the ACA, his insurance company will be paying the majority of the bill. Unless Obama decreed that this guy deserves a little sumpin' sumpin' to cover his bills. Obama is fickle like that.

I am scheduled for surgery within the next week. Two Ounce Brains, do you happen to have Obama's phone number so that I can call and personally blame him if there are complications, if I develop an infection, or if they dress me in a gown that clashes with the color of my fingernails?

Luckily for you, you will have the opportunity to blame him for years for everything that happens in your sorry little life for many years to come.

Conservative Republicans - in this age of personal responsibility, they manage to personally blame everyone else.

lol-it's because temporarily banning those flights do nothing. As Bob pointed out on another thread, I believe, the ebola patient in TX that died came from Brussels.

The Republicans are engaging in political theater and you are eating it up with both hands.

Where is a nigerian going to get this ebola from? Nigeria had no trouble containing ebola, yet the right wingnuts are sure it's going to be a pandemic ( word they apparently can't understand the meaning of) in america. Perfect. You can't make this shit up.
