The unemployed, who depend upon liberal government policies and practices, won't vote for a candidate based on merit. They will vote for the candidate who pledges to give away the most freebies (the most liberal candidates are usually democRAT, aren't they?).

For the common good, those on government support should be removed from voting eligibility, based upon an obvious conflict of interest.

I will agree that most people will always have a conflict of interest based on their own personal situation.

They are however some very objective people who would vehemently vote against socialist policies and liberal freebies even though they themselves are not doing well because they are intelligent enough to understand that eventually the money for freebies will run out and that it is just a short-term solution which will have severe consequences that will end up making things worse for others but more importantly themselves.

Long-term solutions are not omitted from the the entire unemployed but I will agree with you that the unemployed tend to favor liberal granny-state policies that will provide everything from food, water, healthcare, housing and education for free of charge.

Eventually it all collapses and then the idiots wake up and realize exactly the nonsense that they were supporting.

Everything went to hell after women got the right to vote (prohibition was thier first brain child) - even now only half the working age women work. (housewives voting created the modern nanny state)

Hrh, you've got pretty thin liberal skin. Disgusting?? Hateful?? Awful ?? Spoken like a true lib, waaa, waaa, waaa. Porky has an opinion, and he's entitled to it.

But not everyone is entitled to other peoples money.

Its a historical fact that the womens suffrage (women voting) was a way to achive prohibition. - which did not remove alcohol only added way more crime and death on top of it.

It took the beer industry 80 years in america to recover! EIGHTY!
Before prohibtion there were thousands and thousands of local brewers after it was relegalized we got a few large ones dominating forever. Only in last 10 years do we now have tens of thousands of local beer brewers. (My mom would vote for Prohibition today if it were on the ballot!)
