I picked up the newspaper this morning and lo and behold, we're going back into Iraq with troops and Secretary of State John Kerry is talking about airstrikes being "constructive."
Newspeak in its finest form.

It's all Obama's fault!!!

Actually, it doesn't seem to matter who's in charge. George W. Bush started the war that has destroyed Iraq, and Mr. Obama seems not to have learned from that mistake.

This assumes that the Arab world wasn't already doing a fantastic job of destroying itself.

We should no longer be there. However, since we did get involved, it would be nice to have a president that still had control of his testicles because the only decent solution is to send the entire Middle East back to the Stone Age.

Interesting that you can create bubbles in a culture as well by by backing one group over another. Another fine mess by NOT using the nonaggression policy.

The Peshmurga just entered Kirkuk, outside the area of control of Kurdish provinces of Iraq. ISIS told them they have no beef with them - but the Kurds probably (if they have a brain) know they're next after the Shi'a.

Looks like Iraq is doing it's own job of settling into three states, the way it should have done in Sikes-Pikot almost a century ago.

Oh, I think we've done a pretty good job of what you wished for. When we started the sanctions more than twenty years ago, Iraq was one of the most modern Arab states, in spite of having a dictator. After starving the masses through our efforts (of course Saddam never had a problem) we then invaded and destroyed what was left, permanently poisoning much of the country with depleted uranium munitions.

Maybe they just want a permanent war.
