STOP AB 957--Call Assembly Judiciary Committee--Takes 15 minutes

PLEASE--Take 15 minutes and call each member of the Assembly Judiciary Committee and tell them that you OPPOSE AB957. The hearing for this bill is March 21st. This bill gives preference in custody battles to the parent who is willing to TRANSITION the child. Another horrible bill by Scott Weiner.

Step 1.

Call Members on the Judiciary Committee and ask for a NO vote on AB 957 during 3/21 hearing. AB 957 would require judge to favor a parent that goes along with "gender affirming". You can call over the weekend and leave a voice message or call on Monday and talk to office staff. If one of the members is your representative, it’s very important you mention that. They do pay extra attention if a constituent is calling.

Step 2.

If you are able to come to the hearing on 3/21 in Sacramento, the hearing will take place in State Capitol, Room 437. Hearing starts at 9am. AB 957 is half way listed on the agenda. When they call for people in the room in opposition to come and state their name- that’s the time when you can come to the microphone and state your name, (organization if you represent any) and then say “please vote no on AB 957” or “I oppose AB 957”
