In the past few months I asked a couple of managers and cooks at some local eateries why no one has a decent Meatloaf sandwich on the menu ? There was no single reason given however I noted that all of them mentioned they use one of the Gordon Ramsay Meatloaf recipes at home and swear by them as being top notch.

Ugh, I love meatloaf. Kids will eat it with onion powder, but I prefer the chunks of onion and they don't. Flipping annoying. Smoked meatloaf is bomb if you haven't done it. Was the first meatloaf I made around 20 years old, had it prior from other people and it hasn't been beat. Can't recall if I bacon wrapped it, but I've pretty much wrapped anything in bacon.

Not sure if anyone is into fatties here. Basically meatloaf stuffed with whatever you want and a bacon weave around it. Make sure your heart is working properly is all I'll say.

I grew up on Meatloaf, watching Ramsey make meatloaf, I'm like well you should do this first or add that instead.

Martha Stewart is my go to recipe resource if I really want a classic rendition of a comfort food dish I haven't had in years and the recipe is hazy in my mind.

Oh and meatloaf is the only meaty dish I can eat cold. And the only sandwich I'm perfectly content with nothing more than mayo and bread, no need for lettuce, tomato and onion.

It's versatile for sure. We added our most recent meatloaf leftovers into spaghetti for the meat in the sauce (home grown tomatoes). Ground beef prepared well is fucking amazing.

Never heard of this one - sounds awesome. I can eat cold meatloaf sandwiches daily if I had too.

I try to go for the recipes that she's actually cooking. Her subtle explanations on what to do, what to look for, and how to incorporate ingredients are like Alton Brown but without all of the sciency stuff.

I have several ways of making meatloaf it's not a recipe I would have to look for. But if I were I would go with this one, leave out the brown sugar, sweeten with a little ketchup instead, and I would also use crushed crackers along with the shredded white bread.
If you like tender meatloaf, then the first thing you do is put two egg whites in the 2/12 lb of ground beef. Mix it in very well, and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Then continue on with the rest of the recipe, and toss in the yolks when you do.
Egg whites works magic on softening meat.

Or pan-fried meatloaf slices. On Sourdough. With Ketchup.
Heaven.

I'm trolling; I hate that guy.
He learned his trade in France; I'd rather watch a real Frenchman show a recipe, Jacques Pepin is not a creep like Gordon. Gordon is obnoxious.
I also have trouble looking at his fantastically ugly face; it looks like a rubber Halloween 🎃 mask.

I love Pepin and Jean Pierre "Onyo First!"
