That's why I take nothing besides beer and supplements. Beer being the most toxic thing I put into my body. Nurse friends push me to eat pills. I'm like fuck no.
95% sure my rotator cuff is torn. Just cannot get surgery right now due to work. I'll get it checked out in November. My shoulder is fucked. I'm not taking OTC or prescribed pain killer pills though. Fuck that. One dose of Tylenol is like drinking 6-10 beers or shots to your liver. Pain sucks but I need/want to feel it. Masking it makes shit worse.
Later during our conversation she divulged she takes Xanax from time to time.

ive heard same story from another liberal woman, the book ban shit in Florida. she didn’t know which books were banned, and thought it was racist reasons. i told her it’s sexualized books got the axe, conversation went nowhere after that, just got ignored.

People avoid Aspirin for some reason, but if you're over 12 and don't have stomach issues...
If you do take OTC pain killers like aspirin, take it on a regular dosing schedule, don't wait for the pain. It's like turning off the air conditioner until it gets hot and steamy, by the time you feel it, it takes longer to dull the pain and is less effective.

I just don't trust any of it to be honest. I can handle pain. I had a gall stone blockage. Every woman I've talked to that's had one said it's worse than labor and would rather carry a kid for 9 months and give birth to it before having an attack. I've never been stabbed, but I imagine it being like that for 1-2 hours, being stabbed over and over. I did pass out.
Fractured my heel. Doctor INSISTED I take some opioid type pain killer. I said no. He still sent it to my listed pharmacy. Never picked it up. Fucking douche.
I'm not perfect. I've been depressed as well. Anxiety. But I'm not throwing pills at it. Women are more prone to take the easy way out hence why I brought up Clambo's plane neighbor was likely on something. My MIL will drink excessively and be on anti-anxiety and depression pills. Blood pressure medication. Cancer medication. She's got the classic pill box calendar. She takes all this before a flight. She heads over to Germany for xmas, free booze on the flight... That's a great cocktail for the body... She's actually a MAGA woman, but her thoughts generally aren't very coherent and she's aggressive about it. Probably no different then the liberal on the plane.
Moral of this OP though is people are brainwashed on either side. Likely on some fucked up medication, in my opinion at least. Fact is they don't address the actual issue. I want to feel pain. How do you know what is wrong if you cover it up? Mental or physical.

Maybe try NAC? There are a lot of benefits from that supplement, not just liver protection. Then a Tylenol once in a while isn't a big deal. Get that shoulder looked at. If you're lucky it's just bursitis.

Next to me was a retired female elementary school teacher. She was from Ohio but had lived many years in Florida.
