The news that the USA may provide “switchblade” killer kamikaze drones to Ukraine is scary for Putin.

They are not jammable, not rockets, have a very high range, are lightweight, portable and lethal.

You may recall that technology alters the outcome of war.

The American Revolution Minutemen had a “long rifle” with a longer effective range than the Redcoats had; they could be shot by the Americans while the Americans were out of range. The long rifle originated from Pennsylvania.

In WWII, the allies had lightweight portable radar, which was useful. The British came up with “cavity magnetron”, which was an advantage.
The Japanese navy lost big time at the Battle of Midway; Americans used radar effectively and the Japanese didn’t.

The invasion of Japan by the USA would have been a nightmare and not probably possible for Americans to stomach; the atomic bomb technology ended that conflict.

Russia has lost a large percentage of its useful tanks in just weeks; they might have a couple thousand more which can actually run. The technology of missiles has defeated old technology.

If Putin keeps up the sacrifice of equipment, he’ll be another nut with nukes like Kim Jong-un. He won’t be able to project military force anymore.

He’s already a pariah in Europe, further ruining the future of everyday Russians who are just trying to improve their lives.

The reason Russian forces are hitting cities with artillery is they cannot advance.

I feel sorry for Russians; living in Russia has sucked forever; the Czars, then the communists, now a former spy dictator is ruining their lives again.

Russia has some entrepreneurs, who are now fucked. I recently googled a part to modify my Volvo, and the guys are in Russia. They accept PayPal and of course that is shut down, so they are temporarily out of business now.

There is footage of "naked" T-72 tanks being deployed by the RuSSians in Ukraine. (As in "no reactive armor"). Which means they are starting to dig into their mothball fleet.

Yeah, i'm sure they just shut down and closed up all because of paypal. Now imagine what would happen if there was no electricity for a week?

It's because in the beginning the didn't want to use it to minimize casualties. Now it has to be used, in order to storm Kiev. Pounding the shit out of cities before going in is pretty damned routine. We bombarded and encircled Fallujah for weeks before storming it in 2004 to deal with just ~1500 insurgents.

We are in for about 21 days of this war.

The Syrian conflict lasted 10 years about. The Russians have been following the convention about not destroying infrastructure (the power is still on). That's probably not going to remain the case.

Only a couple million refugees so far. Turn off the power and it'll be tens of millions.

And the Russians have already lost 2X more troops than the US did in Iraq and Afghanistan combined over 15+ years! It will bet much worse for Russian casualties if/when they try to enter the big cities and suffer from urban combat and insurgency with a country flooded with modern anti-tank weapons. The "easy" part is supposed to be the conventional battle where Russia should have been able to quickly overwhelm Ukraine's military.

Russia's population is half of the US with a declining birth rate.

Russia is a poor country that can't keep this up indefinitely. Especially if morale is shit and the whole world sanctioning them.

It is easy to play whack a mole in Syria using Syrian forces as cannon fodder to kill brown people in the Middle East. I think it is harder to keep up morale fighting against your neighbors in Ukraine with the whole world against you.

They are quickly approaching the level of losses the USSR suffered in Afghanistan over 10 years of that war. All in fucking 3 weeks.

Doesn't matter as Russians have no free speech.
Globalists wants to kill free speech of Americans to indulge in wars of so called "spreading democracy" types.

There are no good guys in world leadership at this moment.

Putin isn't afraid and isn't going to quit. They are negotiating I hear, it'll end when negotiations are finalized, and probably another month after will be taken to pull military out. I used to think us sending weapons will turn Ukraine into proxy war, but after Russia said that they'll declare war on any material support like that made me realize that we are probably going to stay out since we don't actually want to be in that war ourselves. Not especially with our army that's marketing 2 momma Emma.

What are you talking about? Material support keeps flowing in. Even fucking Slovakia is not afraid to hand over their single S-300 battery. And we are most definitely not "staying out".

I don't know if I believe it, because I read conflicting news. I read news saying that we are sending weapons, and other news that Biden is refusing to send. It's hard to tell what is true or not, but it's pretty clear that Ukraine is signaling acceptance to some negotiations since they announced "we not joining NATO anymore". Either way, this war should be over quickly once they sign agreements. I'm guessing they'll setup Ukraine as neutral going forward, which would be great for Ukraine actually.

Ukraine was neutral up until it was attacked in 2014. Literally had a non-alignment clause in their Constitution. How did it work for them? It didn't.

Whatever you heard from FT about "neutrality" is a demand from the Russian side, not something agreed upon. And I'm pretty sure that they won't agree to it. "Fool me once" kinda thing.
14   clambo   2022 Mar 17, 11:34am

The NATO bullshit story is nonsense but some people don’t know it.

Ukraine certainly wanted to be safer and join NATO someday , and join the European Union also, but on Feb 14 the German chancellor said that NATO membership was not on their agenda, therefore a non-issue for NATO.

But it's OK for Putin to ask Belarus and China to help out the Russian military?

I'm not saying whats ok or not ok. That's not my point at all man. I don't care or know everything about that war down there, I'll consider myself lucky if I can find it on the map. In war times all rules go out the window and that's just life. I Just don't want to get involved into wars. You understand me I'm sure. We here are constantly fed, by media, fear and anger, non stop. The fucking BLM, the lockdowns, the covid, russia russia russia... tired of being fucked all the time. For 2 years I couldn't go most places because they forced that mask wearing submissive ritual and later vax passport shit. I'm feeling that it's all coming from our own government, who have "owners" and those owners have their political world ambitions, so they use us to achieve them. It doesn't seem to help us, we've gone down the hill over years, while they all got richer. Taxes are higher, costs of everything are higher, quality of life is much worse, but billionnaires are richer. This isn't working for any of us, for you, for me. I go outside I see homeless on the street, many, not just a few losers, but many. I go get gas, I'm in shock. Groceries same, higher priced. Even dollar store changed to 5 dollar store. I see retirees, who are too old to be useful or to work, barely scraping by on their tiny incomes because inflation ate it all. I remember when America was a better place to live, and our government didn't fuck us so much.

Just ranting about how everything gone to shit lately. And the thing that upsets me probably the most about this zzyzzx man, is that our government doesn't care about how anything fucks us. They are too busy with their puppet issues, other countries, and shit like that. They'll probably be doing the gay thing in June too again, just to humiliate us even more.

I'm going to bet, that Kiev isn't completely destroyed.

I'm quite impressed with the restraint of Russia, and I think Ukraine has ZERO chance of winning in this battle, and I bet the puppet regime will be removed and replaced with a Russian puppet regime.

But I bet the city isn't demolished. It would be the US was fighting this war. That seems to be their MO, completely ruin the place, destroy infrastructure, kill civilians, starve them, and demolish them. If I'm correct, and I might be wrong, Russia will have shown the most moral war (not that any war is moral) that I've seen in this century - which is still young.

I hope I'm right.

The People belly aching about Putin, Russia and his dystopia overreach, and his lack of freedom of speech and god knows what all else.
Are the same folks that remain deafingly silent, no matter how commie dictator tyrant the left as a single body goes.

Fuck Ukraine, Putin can have it. And those Idiots cheering on our feeble minded Establishment Marionette, that was hoisted on us, through a stolen election wrought with lies, fraud and deceit. Think we're the only fucking country in the world with a shooty thingy, and stuff that goes boom, are the biggest morons of all.

Just so we all understand, Russia has the world's most largest devastating Nuclear bomb and arsenal in the world. They ended the arms race, because Reagan didn't see the sense in trying to outdo Russia's biggest bomb. As it was capable of wiping out counties continents and whole hemispheres. Then during Obama's term in office, his evil Vile disguising SOS gave Russia the lion share of the world Uranium stockpile. While at the same time Russia was developing a bomb that could create devastating tsunamis that could wipe out the West or East coast of the US. Now perhaps that was all just Russia propaganda, but lets be real.
We report about our capabilities all the time, but at the end of the day, we have to send unmanned drones to do our war work for us now.
If you're going to wage a disconnected war, and wreak havoc on your enemy from the safety of a computer desk far away. Just remember sometimes it comes back to you in spades.
