'I love my school but I am here today because I would not call a boy a girl': Teacher who refused to use student's gender-neutral pronouns condemns 'insanity' as he is JAILED in Ireland
Enoch Burke was arrested yesterday morning for breaching a court order
The order barred him from teaching or being present at his Westmeath school
The dispute began over his refusal to address a transitioning student as 'they' rather than 'he', as requested by the student and their parents in May
He was later suspended, and refused to stay away from the school
After the ruling, Mr Burke said: 'I love my school, with its motto Res Non Verba, actions not words, but I am here today because I said I would not call a boy a girl'

I know the Irish are subliminally mad by nature, but embracing all of this KommieKunt subversion seems to go against Irish nature. Irish seem to be more defiant than bending.

Years ago my wife had the bright idea of going to an Irish bar in Dublin, CA. on St. Patrick's Day for some free meal or something she was obsessed with. It was scary. It was packed with all these loud, burly Irish dudes and dudesses smelling of booze. It was like being in a pen with a bunch of mad cattle.

Yes, Ireland is suffering from the same mental disease as all English speaking countries lately.

The Irish do have a high rate of insanity. The Germans have a nice a pun about the Irish: "Die Iren sind Irren", meaning "the Irish are crazy".

I miss the old defiant attitude.

This is going to sound simplistic, overly reductionist, and insanely religious.
However it may just be the deepest truth.

We are at this place of insanity because men have turned their spirits from God, and being no longer guided by His wisdom, are guided by any huckster or false prophet who gains a large enough soap box with which to influence them.

Even highly intelligent people, if they lack wisdom, will make insanely and deeply foolish decisions on the regular. We’ve seen this truth play out in real time.
But to the person with spiritual guidance from God, the wise course is laid out clearly. The Truth is obvious and lies have no purchase on their thinking.

The Irish are crazy, but in a divvy, celestially inspired way. They seem to have been sequestered from odd races of prophets, poets and seers, who are typically considered insane.

They were also responsible for preserving a good deal of civilized records and ancient, acquired learning during the so called Dark Ages, if the history can be trusted.

“Men have forgotten God"
Over a half century ago, while I was still a child, I recall hearing a number of old people offer the following explanation for the great disasters that had befallen Russia: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened." Since then I have spent well-nigh 50 years working on the history of our revolution; in the process I have read hundreds of books, collected hundreds of personal testimonies, and have already contributed eight volumes of my own toward the effort of clearing away the rubble left by that upheaval. But if I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened.”

― Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn

Whether you are a religious person or not, I think people need something to believe in, to guide them and help them do the right thing. Religion served this purpose in the past. Without it, there is a void and it will be replaced with something else. Power-hungry despots understand this and seek to put themselves and the State into the role of God.

Right, Nietzsche mentioned this and I'm paraphrasing:

"God is dead and there isn't enough water in the world to wash away the blood that will be spilled".

I agree with him and you despite that I'm agnostic.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's true that a lot of classical Latin works were preserved by Irish monks copying them after knowledge of Latin had died out in most of Europe.

And then Irish monks went on missions to Europe and brought back that learning.
