(g-translate):

In the Moscow metro, on June 12, the police detained people who had previously participated in actions against the war in Ukraine, writes OVD-Info .

It follows from the reports that more than 15 people were detained, some of whom told OVD-Info that they had taken part in anti-war actions in the past.

Some of them mentioned that the police used an orientation called "Day of Russia" and identified people using a facial recognition system. The reports do not mention any actions of the detainees that could attract the attention of the police.

“So the security forces are preparing for protest actions that may take place in connection with the Day of Russia,” they say in OVD-Info.

Science journalist Asya Kazantseva was among those detained in the subway. As Mediazona writes , she was required to write an explanatory note saying that she “had a preventive conversation that people who had administrative detentions in the past should not enter the metro on Russia Day.”

Update. At 20:41, OVD-Info reported that at least 35 people had been detained using a facial recognition system.

On the Day of Russia on June 12, several people were detained in Russian cities who took to the streets against the war. This happened, according to OVD-Info, including in Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk, Smolensk, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Already happening in the private sector and has been for about a decade and maybe longer. Government has the capabilities to track your every move outside your house without you carrying a phone or any electronic device. That ship has sailed. It's just a if/when they start using it out in the open question.

I've said it before, until you've gone into those "command centers" with dozens or even hundreds of screens with cameras everywhere, you have no clue how bad it is. Urban and even suburban areas all have cameras at most intersections. For what? Here in IL it's mostly for snow is their excuse. Nevermind that the plows have GPS attached and they can track it that way.

What people don't realize is that NSA and the likes are tapped into these networks at the county, city and state level. How do you think all the January 6th people were found? Many were wearing masks because of covid. There were tons of people there. They have the software to match faces with passports, licenses, etc. No way 10-20 government employees spent 8-10 hours a day scanning through video to find people. It would take 100+ employees to do it manually full time for months. FR is here, we just don't know when it's being used outside of a business like a casino.

LOL! Russkie hater chorus. Russians have been fashioning alternate sub-societies and economies for generations now. They're quite used to the depravities of central government and how to shuck and jive around them. We're just getting clued in.

That Rome does not have a single neck to crush has been the tyrant's lament for quite some time.
