I'm not even calling them leftists. I'm calling them "greenists". Thoes that want to abandon traditional hydrocarbon bases fuels no matter the cost, economic, social or otherwise.

Are they secretly (or overtly) cheering high has prices and the prospect for a 1970s style energy crisis as it will make the alternatives more economic attractive?

Seems to be we may be heading that way. MSM is at least preparing the narrative. Invest accordingly.

Read the article carefully. By citing "underinvestment," "Covid," and "Ukraine," this is just a puff piece trying to deflect blame away from Biden and his policies.

That may be, but I think that some WANT higher prices for traditional fossil fuels (gasoline, heating oil, etc.) because it makes the alternatives they are trying to pitch look more attractive.

The first time we had a push for "green" energy was back in the 70s during the oil crisis. I expect we'll see that again in over the next five to ten years. Frankly, it's already started, all the major car manufacturers are developing electric vehicles.

More than once. I think he even said, to paraphrase, the transition away from fossil fuels will be painful but necessary to save the world.

And the big guy gets ten percent.
