#afterlife Elena loves obscure foreign movies. Yesterday afternoon, I set her up on The Criterion Channel (www.criterionchannel.com). She found a fascinating Japanese movie. One day you are contacted and given some good and bad news. The bad news is that you're going to pass away in one week. The good news is that you will go to an afterlife (Heaven, etc.,) where you will enjoy eternal life and peace. There is one catch to this transition. You will only be able to take one memory from your old life to your new life. The film team interviewed real people and posed the question to them: "What memory will you carry to your new life?" Several of the people were interviewed during the movie. I will leave each of you to reflect on what memory you would take to your next life.

That Zionist Jews love Democrats because they keep gentiles broke and stupid. While they wrap themselves around the cogs of the Administrative state they create.

I’d pick the memory of my first child’s birth. I don’t think my perspective on life and responsibility has changed as much due to any situation or circumstance as much as it changed in those few minutes.

Not many religions believe in afterlife today. Interestingly most dominions of Judaism have given up this belief although many dominions of Christianity have retained it.

Even a simple belief in reincarnation is a belief in “afterlife.” Many people claim to be able to recall parts of a previous life. Whether they are full of it or truthful is pretty difficult to establish. But a “recycling” of souls would make a sort of sense in the sense of physics. If a soul is energy then it is neither created nor destroyed, just changes state. I suppose it could exist in the ethereal state indefinitely, and exist as a sort of inhabiting matrix over the interlay of neurons in a brain when it’s in its “physical” state. This also explains much of why people can “make themselves sick” so easily. The mind-body connection is real and corresponds to a scientifically proven area of medicine. Its the reason for the “placebo effect,” as well as the terms “heart broken” and “heartsick.”
In fact, the soul might be the weakest point of a human, most prone to despair and thus breaking the body. When people truly don’t want to live anymore, they don’t.

@WookieMan I may have a bug with deleting comments. I'll look into that.

If anyone else has a problem deleting their own comments, let me know. I think right now you can delete any comment until it is a week old, after which you can't.

My first wet dream. It was a doozie.

@patrick they’re deleted. Connection issues on my end. Internet and cell blows where I’m at in Mexico. Tourist area too. Surprising. Not a site issue on your end.

I had to take theology sopomore year of college, and learned that Judaism originally had no belief in an afterlife. It was all about not pissing off God so that you would have wealth and children in this life.

I don't mind the guy. He's been on the site since 2009 and is never offensive.

I was actually thinking of Elena to be honest. She seems nice.
