Sen. Ben Sasse said Sunday that President Joe Biden needs to be thinking in terms of military victory by Ukraine, not merely working to slow down the Russian invasion.

"Stop listening to all of your advisers who say Zelenskyy is a dead man walking," the Nebraska Republican said on "Fox News Sunday" in a reference to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian president who addressed Congress last week in a quest for additional support.
Sasse added: "Stop listening to those who say that Ukraine is inevitably going to lose. We should hear the president's strategy to help Ukraine win. We should be on the side of these freedom fighters, and we're too slow in almost every step we take."
When asked if he was saying the U.S. should go all in with American military support to help defeat the forces of President Vladimir Putin, Sasse said that was not necessary.
"The West has a bunch of fighters in Ukraine and that is the Ukrainians," he told host Trace Gallagher.
"These 44 million people have been heroic in fighting for values that are universal, but associated around the world with American beliefs and freedom. We don't need to have fighter pilots in the air, we don't need to have boots on the ground
inside Ukraine, because Ukrainians have the will to fight. We need to have the will to rearm them constantly," Sasse said.

Our crooked politicians are hoping to get a few boluses of billion dollar "aid" packages (our tax money) through Ukraine money laundering apparatus to wind up back in their own pockets before the Russians kibosh the scam. "Please, Russia, go slower in the warsky!"

Included in that is Brandon's 10%. Media: Ukraine is winning....whole sections destroyed. Russia is getting wiped out: Russia is intact.

They got the $1.5T Stimulus Bill in the middle of the night thanks to the fractional $6B for Ukraine and the RINOs afraid of being called "Putin Lovers".

$1.494T in debt so "Don't you call me a Putler Supporter!"

Pelosi said that it wasn't debt.

The senator is right.
Ukraine has succeeded in beating back the invaders for weeks.

Putin gambled and lost.

The outcome is still unknown; with unlimited missiles and Ukraine people willing to shoot them at tanks and hundreds of thousands of people aiming guns at Russians, the Russians have a problem.

It’s ironic that some people believe the Russian state media and not videos of blown up tanks, planes and equipment.

Not sure beating back applies here. Seems to me that Russian troops are advancing and controlling more and more territory. Map was supposedly current as of March 14.

Do you prefer “holding their own against the Russians while humiliating them?”

I suppose that the same could be said about the Viet Kong and Afghanistan Taliban if that’s how you want to talk. But the reality is much more stark, the poor soldiers following orders are dead. There are no winners but the oligarchs in these wars.

This isn't far removed from that:

My Opinion:

* the Russian Navy is playing games in Odessa, threatening an amphib attack that may or may not happen. Just like MacArthur put empty amphibs on the East Coast of North Korea to keep the NORKs guessing before he stormed Inchon. This keeps AFU forces that could be redeployed elsewhere in the neighborhood.

* Looks like a Cauldron took place SE of Sumy, With another possibly forming along the Dneipr. I suspect a large concentration of AFU forces were W and NW of Luhansk/Donetsk.

* Kiev is almost totally encircled. The bigger steps are possibly in that drive NW from Mykolaiv to the Moldavian Border to cut off Odessa Oblast completely, and possibly another to cut off the whole Dneipr and East, though the drive North from

Though I'm certainly not rooting for putler not that bad for a "madman loser". Not sure if he's interested in many other cities if negotiations go well, but he may at least sit on and keep Mariupol for a while. They are not in a rush and the more they control at the time z starts taking the negotiations seriously the better their position. The Ukraine should have come immediately to the table on day one, then they could have kept everything but select donbass without destruction. They got some bad "advice" from their Western "friends". But the US and Canada are very interested in fanning the flames of war at the expense of the Ukrainian people, the longer this goes the more people may forget about their infringements on civil liberties by their leaders from !covid!

And eventually abandoning them.
