I think this will be huge, worth a bet. Trump announced social media platform, Truth Social. Stock ticker is DWAC (parent holding company as I understand).

Selling some other stock right now to have cash to buy this tomorrow. If this goes anywhere even fraction of facebook value, it'll be huge.

I saw the announcement here.

Shares info on yahoo (if you just put in stock symbol DWAC, you'll get all news related to it)

I bought bunch of shares at like 15 when it just opened. Didn't have much cash ready at that time. - big regret
Then I bought a lot more today at 60+ per share.
I'll keep doing it for a while, for me it's a long term play.

I'm right now risking about 30k, if I lose it, well it is what it is. Will keep buying dips every month as I can. But if it multiplies over years into 2.5million that's worth the risk. Just have to hold through a few years. I expect huge volatility. Kind of like Tesla, they were fucking volatile, and then boom huge! Same with Amazon, Facebook. Just feels like I've seen this movie before.

Long term I plan to invest about 80k overtime. There is something in my head that I don't like to put too many eggs into any baskets, I'm not rich so 80k is a good amount to put in over time. I'm sure for guys like Rin this is chum change lol. Volatility is stressful, because it's my own money. This is easier with other peoples money for sure.

Careful with this one, I think a SPAC is only worth $10. We were in at $14 and were trimming at 150, 100, 90, left a runner to see where it goes. 69.88ish is the line in the sand, if it breaksdown that level (double top on the 5min) it'll likely to go a lot lower.

Why do you think it's worth so little?
I'd like to just take a gamble this time and go for it, I really believe in this idea, parallel economy, people are really excited about no more cancel culture horseshit that comes with FB/TW.

One problem is that it doesn't really exist yet. When will the site be launched?

And it's pretty hard to run these kinds of things reliably at scale when people are attacking them.

It may work out well, but it may not.

I'm with Patrick on this one. Caution for sure.

I'd think about buying some shares just for some "fun gambling," but wouldn't do anything more than that.

I wish Trump and this company all the best and hope for a resounding success. With wishes and hopes don't exactly equate to success.

One scenario that would be fun is if all the haters short the heck out of it and then we can gat a Game Stop squeeze going.

All SPACs have an innate value of $10, just the number of shares you own convert over to the new company. So if you buy 1000 shares and the SPAC goes to 100, you'll have a profit of $100,000 but when the company transitions to the new company, maybe the IPO price will be 20 and you'll 1,000 shares will only be worth $20,000. So SPACs are more of a trade than I hold.*

* I think this is how it works.

Acquiring Rumble, Parlor, Gab, Telegram....throw in Brave browzer, Newsmax... now that would get me excited.

Assuming they're all profitable...

Before I cashed out 1/2 my equity from the hedge fund, $80K was a heck of a lot of money.

So yeah, you're a risk taker because for me, it was in things like R J Reynolds, Cisco, P & G, and the usual suspects which pretty much, all did all right in a conservative type of way.

If you think that Trump's about to produce the next independent Fox News Network vis-a-vis Facebook w/o the Zucks, and w/o the corporatization effect, which every network falls into at some point in time, then you may hit a jackpot.

Isn't this the IPO? The rest of the acquisitions are supposed to merge into it, or am I wrong?

I really believe in this, I'd use it, and just about everyone I know can't wait for it. It's why I look at it this way.
