I am continually stunned by peoples' illogic and lack of critical thinking!

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who’s fought local officials throughout the state on mask mandates, has tested positive for Covid-19, his office announced Tuesday.

Abbott is fully vaccinated, “is in good health, and currently experiencing no symptoms,” his office said in a statement.

Abbott is receiving Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody treatment and plans to isolate in the governor’s mansion, his office said. His wife, Cecilia Abbott, tested negative. The governor, who is otherwise healthy, was left paralyzed below the waist after an oak tree fell on him while he was jogging in 1984, leaving him in a wheelchair. His age, 63, places him in a higher risk category for suffering from a severe case if he contracts the virus. However, he’s told people he received a third, or booster, dose of the vaccine, two sources told NBC News.

“Governor Abbott is in constant communication with his staff, agency heads, and government officials to ensure that state government continues to operate smoothly and efficiently,” his office said. The governor’s office didn’t immediately respond to a request for further comment.

The announcement of Abbott’s illness comes a day after he made a campaign stop at the Republican Club of Heritage Ranch, which is north of Dallas, where he can be seen surrounded by a large crowd of unmasked attendees.

I haven't and I don't think many here have advocated not getting it if you're in a risk category for major infection.

Well Patrick seems to like to drum of a lot of fear of the vaccine or as he calls it the “clot shot” in everything he posts. A large percentage, dare I say majority of Americans in the least vaccinated areas have a BMI in the unhealthy range, so calling it the clot shot is not helping those unhealthy overweight Mississippi residents and children get the shot.

You don't need a prescription to get Ivermectin:
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/durvet-ivermectin-paste-187-608-g

$6.49 at Tractor Supply!

Just a reminder for all those who are using this paste.. This is 6 grams for a 1250 lb horse. That would be .0048 grams/lb. IF you had a 170lb horse, you would give that stud .816 grams of this paste.

That shot that neither prevents catching nor prevents spreading of Covid? The shot that the CDC finally had to own up and say "may" lessen symptoms? Seems the smart action for the unhealthy overweight would be to forgo the shot and isolate. That would apply to fat New Yorkers and fat Californians as well.

Is he even covid positive? The PCR test doesn't distinguish between Covid and Influenza.

I know. I'm of the opinion that it could just as likely be the flu. At 83, a cold could knock you out for good. I wouldn't bee so concerned except that mom has lots of congestion. I think that can easily lead to pneumonia.

How the fuck one would measure precisely .816 grams of some paste? Lab scales?

Why bicker over this?

The survival rate is 99.8%.

He's going to be just fine.

Why is this news?

You call it fear, I call it awareness. Trump failed with it and Biden is now, so it's not political for me. We need(ed) to protect the people that need protection. Problem is they're stubborn old people. Instead of giving a family of four making $150k stimulus money of $2k+ or whatever it was (I didn't get it), give it to old people and have groceries, prescriptions, etc. delivered and ask them to stay home (not force). Set up a network of well being visits for the elderly.

There was a way to handle this and it was handled poorly. I do think the vaccine works to an extent. We should have protect the elderly in the meantime knowing that was who got killed mostly. Instead over the last year we just let them wander around with special grocery store hours as if the 23 year old cashier hadn't been partying with 50 people the night before. Our government lacks common sense and logic. It's all political and no one really cares about your health. Then you have 3 letter agencies that are hooked up with what is causing all of this and that includes big Pharma.

We could have averted lots of deaths with shit I was saying almost a year and a half ago. Check out my comments. We really needed to ask the elderly to self lockdown and fund via the government groceries, prescriptions and delivery of goods. Government failed in the face of obvious data. Still are to this day. So covid continues on....

My grandmother died of pneumonia. Lots of elderly die from the flu. I still don't believe in the shot. My parents chose not to take the shot. They chose to continue to go out to eat. They chose to live life. My mother in law took the shot. Her God daughter got married this last weekend but she didn't go because of FEAR. She is choosing NOT TO LIVE. But also thinks the whole world should take the clot shot.

The demo in Congress skews to ages in the Covid death zone.

I just read that the average age of a Democrat in Congress is 73, and of a Republican is 48.

I think it's important to point out that being "fully vaccinated" did not prevent him from getting infected.

Of course, "fully vaccinated" now means continuous "booster" jabs forever, the largest revenue stream in the history of the world.

Is missing someone's wedding ceremony really not living?

Depends on who is hosting. I'm biased, but still get people that say our wedding was the best they've been to. Kept it simple and fun. I wore flip flops. Wife was still pretty formal. A good wedding is hard to come by. So yeah, missing a good one is not living. Ceremony or reception. You'll know a good wedding when you experience it. Sounds like you may not have good wedding experiences.

And yes, most suck in all honesty. But 1 out of 10 you should have a great time depending on those getting married.

Just so you guys know, 2 of my friends both got vaccines, gotten sick with covid, this is few month after vaccines, so not right away. I don't know where people get the idea that vaccines prevent sickness, they don't prevent shit from what I can tell.

The polio vaccine does. The measles vaccine does. The small pox vaccine did.

These aren't fucking vaccines for one thing and the flu "vaccine" is just a fucking scam.

It's even worse than that.

The vaxx has killed a minimum of 45,000 people: https://patrick.net/post/1340319/2021-07-28-the-true-number-of-vaccine-related-deaths

And far from preventing disease, the jab actively selects for new forms of the virus, by Nobel Prize winning virologist Luc Montagnier:

It is her God daughter and yes, if you miss things like this, you'll miss even smaller things. What does living mean to you? To me, it's being around those I love. If not for that, what else is there...being all alone? Dying alone?
