Yup! I drove down my street on Friday and saw a Box for a TV that couldn't have been 42 Inches, sitting out by the curb. I thought to my self. "You low rent, bitches, go to the Black Friday sales, put yourself in harms way, for a TV, that every Retailer is practically giving away every day of the week." 42 inch TV's are under $100 every day of the year now.

Looks like another BART day.

The soundtrack was taken from the sinking of the Titanic at the 45゚ angle

All of those TVs will be returned because they got broken during the brawl. SMFH

The article I saw said most retailers missed projected revenue by quite a bit, and many stores were ghost towns on Friday.

Now I see why it's called "Black" Friday.

They did but it's because everybody shops online now.

+100. Unless you need a new water heater TODAY or some other necessary item, there's almost no reason to go physically shopping.

Amazon/UPS/USPS/FEDex, etc will be at my house daily for the next 15 days. And I can save probably 20 hours just sitting at my computer. Time is money people. And retail sales will be totally fine. Maybe flat, but it won't be a down year.

I've seen more orderly behavior in zombie apocalypse movies. WTF is wrong with people? It's not like fighting over food when survival is on the line. They're doing battle over shitty TVs that spy on you.

No amount of savings is worth risking life and limb to deal with these crowds.

I heard that last year too, but many stores still went bankrupt. And not everyone likes to shop online. My wife is one who prefers brick and mortar. Apparently, it's pretty big in Arizona, never seen so many stores in my life. I swear all people out here do is eat and shop.

Who buys TVs as part of a feeding frenzy? It’s complicated electronics that you research online first.

TV prices keep going down, so any super-duper sale now will be regular prices in a few months. Besides, aren’t the best prices on TVs right after Super Bowl Sunday?

As for TV spying... I finally bought a 4K one earlier this year — I use it as a computer monitor, the high resolution is greatly appreciated. I finally managed to find a “dumb” TV after months of patient waiting and watching. 65 inch 4K Spector brand dumb TV for $399 including delivery! Backlighting is a little uneven but otherwise a great monitor!

If your intent is to sell it as soon as you can, then research isn't necessary.

Not sure. Could be fluff, but seems like the Thanksgiving weekend did pretty well: https://seekingalpha.com/news/3523382-shopping-traffic-up-14-over-thanksgiving-weekend
