SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A massive power outage hit downtown San Francisco Friday morning, leaving thousands without power, closing a BART station and bringing the whole area to a grinding halt. Pacific Gas & Electric officials say that "crews are working safely and as quickly as possible to restore power," but they have yet to report an official time that power will be restored to the just over 89,000 residents affected.

San Francisco Police report they are working with PG&E to address the massive power outage affecting portions of San Francisco Friday morning.
