Great!!! We do have a single payer health care available to all. Good job Mr. Verone.
Well, thats what I'll be doing if life doesn't pan out as well as I hope it will.
Honestly I hope he is an inspiration for many more. So many Americans are so caught up in their own problems that they refuse to accept the truth that for profit health care is a sick manifestation of the crony capitalism that rules this country.
They should have denied him any care, frankly.
Spoken like someone who has access to healthcare. I applaud his creativity, even though it cost him his freedom. His other option was to wait 6 years until his Medicare benefits kick in (he's 59 years old).
Healthcare should never be an option.
I think the US can come up with a very American solution to the healthcare crisis... SHOOT THE SERIOUSLY ILL
The government could issue licenses and the buyer of the license would have the choice of 'culling' the terminally ill person of his choice.
The NRA would love this
And people could PAY for the privilege (starting a new industry and changing a huge money loser to a source of revenue for the government).
Will happen when Ron Paul and the Republicans take control of the government

He told the paper he had lost his job after 17 years as a Coca-Cola delivery man, and with it his health insurance. He was in increasing pain from slipped discs, arthritic joints, a gammy foot and a growth on his chest.
Since being in the jail he has attained his goal: he has been seen by nurses and an appointment with a doctor is booked.
With the real unemployment rate very high and a record number of people on food stamps, it really is getting ugly out there.
