Hitler and Napoleon willfully started a second front... usually not a winning strategy. I do wonder what would have happened if Napoleon had not stayed in Moscow. He should have immediately looted, then burned it down and then headed back, or back via St Petersburg where he could have looted and burned. Staying in Moscow like that was a strategic blunder. At the very least it would have been less bad to leave Moscow immediately and shorten your supply lines and reduce the starvation.

In ten more years she will look like this, I bet my prediction is more accurate.

Except it never happened on June 22: Napoleon did it on 24th and Hitler didn't reach Russia until at least mid-July.
