Just projecting trends:

1) Social disintegration continues
- Continued increase in suicides, drug use, and social isolation.
- A new economic crisis will lead to great tensions between European countries, and the dismemberment of the Euro.
- Racial tensions will lead to riots in both the US and Europe.
- US politics will become fully dysfunctional and grid locked, leading to totalitarian tendencies.
- Speech on Internet will be controlled on main Internet sites, repression will happen.
- Street fights will break out between members of political parties

2) Environment
- Global warming will go on. CO2 pollution will barely flat line
- We will see a food crisis caused by population growth and change of diet in newly developed countries.
- Some cities will shrink for lack of water.
- A large scale epidemics viral (flu) or bacterial (resistant) will take place killing more than 100k people.

3) In 2030 China will be roughly equivalent to the US in terms of military and economic power and will push its weight around on the international scene.
- It will forcefully integrate Hong Kong and probably Taiwan
- South East Asia will be dominated politically by China
- The US unwilling to risk all out war will be forced to move back its forces farther from that region.
- China will greatly increase its influence on Europe at the expense of the US.
- At least one western country will be dismembered after a region breaks away.

4) Unbelievable new scientific progress:
- Oceans will observed on planets orbiting other stars
- Return to the moon
- First space tourists
- First anti-aging therapy
- Cancer 80% curable
- Prevention of Alzheimer happens
- New organs manufacturing
- Self aware common sense AI happens

That will be a matter of Google telling everyone their army of employees with back door consoles to every IOT device in the world is not serving as the AI decision maker.

People who believe in that level of sophistication that is required that math can never mimic, sales the Human spirit and brain short.

The dumbest retard will always be smarter than AI in conscious thinking. With AI, destroy its sensory Input devices. It loses all awareness and has no further instructions.

I’ll take all of that if it means we go back to space for real, cure cancer, and get anti-aging drugs that work to market.

One of the predictions made 10 years ago is that self driving cars would be commonplace by now. Same with air taxis.

Twenty years ago, Discovery channel did a documentary on Robotic insects and how simple it is to mimic the locomotion of the insect world.
They made cheap, hardy crawly robots, that you could bend and distort, and the MIT tech showed how simple it was to just bend everything back. It was mostly small motors, and paper clip wires and rubber bands. Lately the Science publications are fawning over it like it's cutting edge Drone tech.

Telescopes will be able to discern small hairs on mars, but, surprisingly, the Apollo sites on the moon will still only be seen as fuzzy blurs on blue sensitive cameras.
