A Republican engineer has claimed that he was fired by Google because of his conservatives views.

Kevin Cernekee, who was fired from the company in 2018, said he was the victim of 'bullying' by other employees of the tech giant once they realized he was a Trump supporter.

Cernekee told The Wall Street Journal that he and other right-leaning employees were also the subject of the alleged mistreatment.

'There's a big political angle, and they treat the two sides very differently,' he told the newspaper.

'Historically, there's been a lot of bullying at Google,' he added. ...

At one point, Cernekee said he stood up for his colleague, who said Google shouldn't hire employees based on race or gender.

'A bunch of people jumped on him and started cussing him out and calling him names,' Cernekee told the Journal.

'And then his manager showed up in the thread and denounced him in public. I was very disturbed by that,' he added.

In 2017, James Damore who defended the gender gap in Silicon Valley tech jobs as a matter of biology, was fired.

Google fired Damore after he distributed a 3,000-word missive arguing that the 'preferences and abilities of men and women differ in part due to biological causes and that these differences may explain why we don't see equal representation of women in tech and leadership'. ...

'I very much regret joining Google,' Cernekee told the Journal. 'I figured it would be a good place to see intelligent arguments through. It didn't really turn out how I expected.'

Really disappointed that Google allowed that kind of idiotic culture to take over. That's shitty management and company that clearly has too much money that they don't pay attention to what got them into that position.

I also blame liberal media for this, they really created this sort of attitude with blanket propaganda all over CA about what is good and bad, redefined reality, like fucking 1984 the ministry of thought and truth. Lots of dumb people fall for that propaganda, because propaganda is effective. Now we have "programmed" people who literally don't bother thinking, because all they see is one thing which media feeds them daily. They are in the "matrix" blue pilled.

It will be interesting 100 years from now when no one has a snapshot of their great grandparents because there is no way to access some digital file then but they'll still have 200 year old B&W from the early 1900's and late 1800's that as long as their kept in a safe place will still be good as gold.

Because they don't have to, more or less. Not until it seriously stops working for them. Otherwise, when your bread and butter operations just keeps the moola gushing in on autopilot, they can afford to make a whole lot of mistakes other companies can not.

I worked at Kodak in the '00s. Kodak had this business model that was over 100 years. Basically, they got all the margin for stores selling the film while the stores got most of the margin for film processing. Then when film died, so did Kodak's bread-and-butter revenue stream. I dealt with people back in Rochester who would claim that 'film is going to make a come back! These digital pics look like crap! People will start demanding film again!' or "We'll sell the film cameras to A...

That's a really good comparison.

Democratic party does seem like a party of people who don't understand why anything works, and just assume that they can do unlimited stupid amount of dumb shit and everything will still be an entitlement. Definitely a "Kodak" moment there.

Yep, it's kinda like NINJA loans and Tranches for the Real Estate Bubble.

"This system has never failed, so we can just keep burdening it with Socialism and fraying the Social Fabric with Social Justice. It'll never fail! More straws, the Camel's back can take it!"

I really feel bad for kids today, they don't get even a couple of years of holdy hands kissy face light petting.

It goes straight from Wheels on the Bus to Cardio B without any Paula Abdul or Tiffany.

True. I remember back in 2003 if you googled G. Bush a picture of a chimp popped up. It wasn't listed like a normal search result either it was framed up top similar to UPS tracking is these days. Big controversy at the time and they didn't take it down. Assholes. Glad I don't live there anymore.

Thank you @Booger!

I really appreciate objective and provable reporting of bias by tech companies.

Google is the worst. Terribly and provably biased.

I love when the left pretends they're not being extreme, it's just the danger is so real.

Then you realize the chimp stuff and burning bush (and elder bush and Reagan) in effigy and that it's nothing new. Back before Nixon, even to Lbj

You guide don't understand, Reagan will start a nuclear war!! Goddamn rednecks, listen to my wisdom!!

Some of them still hate Reagan today.

Even though he was one of the greatest presidents in American history.
