With the DOW falling about 500 point in two days, anyone anticipating a low point? This China "Trade War" will end, but maybe the DOW will fall some more first? Anyone looking for a particular point to buy low? I was watching when stocks plummeted two weeks ago, but stocks came back up the next day, so no real buying opportunity.

If I could time the market, I would be retired and living in Caligulan splendor by now.

Thanks for reminding me. I keep 10% in bonds just for this sort of thing. Scheduled a trade for first thing tomorrow.

500 in two days, or 1,500 in a month? Hmm... One looks like a dip, the other like a crash. But everyone on patnet knows assets always go up forever. That is why the site was started right?

May it crash to nothing!

Bring back Classic Economics with Savers being rewarded the Fed Rate.

Enough of this Rinky Dink Chicken Shit Con Job that is 401K. When the Wall Street Losers took it up the Ass and their Investments took a shit, Savers didn't loose one fucking penny from their nest egg in an interest bearing Savings Account.

Fucking H.W. Bush if I ever make it to his Grave site I'm going to shit the most massive Somalian Terd on his grave, and piss it into the ground for as long as I can until his casket is ensconced in Shit brine Piss. What that Cock Sucker did to America is only Second to Obama the Thugs.

You misunderstand me. I put money in bonds as a temporary measure to have it ready to invest in stocks when the market takes a good dip. I moved that bond money into blue chips this morning. Having some univested money ready to buy stocks when stocks are on sale is a good way to spike your portfolio and benefit from the ebb and flow of the market.

I did. Short term, certainly a good strategy. As long as you don't hold onto anything too tightly, and get out before the worst hits.

stocks you buy funds, and hold forever. easiest way to have no headaches, gains are spread out as well as losses. but if you want to be a cowboy you day trade, risky but has it's benefits too.

I am buying dips but I don't have a lot of new cash to use.

Worked out pretty well! The Dow is back to almost the highs, picked up a nice little return.
