One reason to lie about Soy is the huge profits that not only Soy farmers, but the entire snack/diet/supplement industry depending on Soy as a cornerstone of the fake cheese/fake cookie/fake protein shake product.

Give him double portions of Tofu.

Unfermented soy has never been great for you. It can be a decent occasional replacement protein if nothing else is available or part of a spicy soup or some well flavored edamame, but men should eat very little soy, women can eat larger but still moderate amounts. So it's good to watch out for hidden soy and opt for something else. It's not the devil but it was falsely hyped as superfood for many years though that craze has passed it seems.

I've been hearing warnings about men eating soy products since the 90's for this very reason - there's some mechanism where it leads to higher estrogen levels in males, which is bad bad bad. Unless...you want to be a soy boy.

Also, since Phytoestrogens bind with estrogen receptors, no need to have low T to "Enjoy" the effects of Soy intake. In other words, it's about raising estrogen rather than destroying testosterone. So Good news is that cutting out the Soylent can eventually restore normal hormone levels.

Soy Milk doesn't agree with me. I tried it becasue dairy is a problem too (although less than it used to be). Tofu is okay every now and then,, but yeah, I've read this for decades also, that it may not be healthy to eat a lot of soy. It's too bad, becasue I like a high protein diet. It seems to give me the most sustained energy. And I don't want to overdo meat either.

Consider casein protein as a supplement. It really takes a long time to digest, which is great for sustained energy and hunger control.
Many brands of casein taste chalky, but Dymatize Elite (casein, not whey) is very tasty in Cookies & Cream or Cinnamon Bun flavors..

Remember folks the best anything substitute is to do without that thing.

Can't do lactose, then don't drink artificial milk, no sugar, then no artificial sweeteners, no fat then no fat.

I think the stupidest one of all is the No Gluten hype. I can see not eating bread for the carbs. But to get crazy over the amount of Gluten in stuff they say is in it. Is just nuts.
Gluten free tea, gluten free ice creme, gluten free salad dressing. I mean come on. That's just bullshit. Eating a Broccoli Pizza crust because you are cutting out Gluten.
Not the carbs but the gluten. If you are that committed to your mental illness, then just do without the pizza.
