As much as I do not like illegal immigration, I think that is not true. On average, they are hard-working, poor people, who have lately been screwed over by insatiable drug demand in US. Even the Texan stereotype of Mexicans does not paint them as violent. Stealing, yes but not violent.
Of course, we have enough poor of our own, no need to import more.

Also, one can see what is violent crime rate in El Paso. It is minuscule compared to nearly any other large US city, with 80+ % El Paso being Hispanics.

Agreed. Personally, I like most Mexicans I've met. They remind me of the Irish from 150 years ago. Catholic, big families, menial jobs, some social problems, but basically good people.

On the other hand, they should come here legally like other immigrants. To let them jump to the head of the line by breaking the law is just wrong.

We need:

1. prison time for all employers of illegals
2. the wall
