It's called Murder Mountain. Watched the first 1 and a half episodes, pretty good so far, though I wonder if the subject matter is becoming dated with the new laws? For anyone who doesn't understand why the War on Us is bad, watch the beginning of episode two regarding CAMP. This has always been the outcome of strict enforcement of any prohibited substance against the wishes of a large percentage of the population, and goes a long way to explaining how a hippy retreat turned into the violent, environmental hazard that many areas became.

I know a lady who bought a vacation home in the day on the coast in a town with a landing strip. She said it was pretty 'clannish' and seemed to be a lot of families who only socialized with each other. When she mentioned her husband was a pilot, they brightened up towards her and asked if he needed work. She and her husband declined.

I told her that was the wise decision, because the money could be great, but the retirement plan sucks, because retirement would likely be a bullet or no parachute over the Pacific. If you weren't an asset, you were just another potential witness for State's evidence, so you were either always IN or always OUT, meaning OUT like dead.

I talked with a woman whose son bought a professional business in Fort Bragg because the charm and the ocean. He knew he made a mistake when many of the clientele told him they alway payed with lids, pounds of marijuana, or ounces of cocaine. He just abandoned his investment and moved elsewhere, not wanting to be in the drug re-sale business.
