If I did believe in an international pedo-ring for elites, this advertising looks pretty damning.

But maybe I'm just paranoid and lots of normal parents thinking about shopping for their little girls when they're reading articles about bot brothels.

It's just the AI (you know, the one which is about take over all our jobs "very soon") doing excellent job matching ads with relevant articles. =))

Meh... JUST poorly written dynamic ads. The only "crime" is pissing away their advertiser's money on impressions that will NEVER convert. Ever do a google search for something offbeat and get Ebay and Amazon ads offering it for sale?

Search: Bloated floating corpse
Ad: FIND THE BEST DEALS ON BLOATED FLOATING CORPSE ON EBAY!

(From my ogrish and rotten dot com days for context)

The subtlety that gets me is the text over the add. I'm an adult reading an adult article, being shown an image of VERY young girls with an text overlay that says "love has no labels".

Not creepy at all...

Ok, you're telling me this is "just coincidence"?

No, it's not coincidence... it's shitty dynamic ad systems. The article has keywords like child tagged. The ad machine serves ads in places they are likely to bring conversions, like articles tagged with the word child. The only "sinister" aspect of the whole thing is how casually and willfully ad sellers piss away their advertisers' budgets by gladly serving up impressions that will NEVER convert.

Yes, this explanation has been posted. But that doesn't explain the advertisement text. Try being a little bit darker for a moment. You see two little girls in an add with the text LOVE has no labels. Let a little double meaning drift into your interpretation of those words. Are you sure all they're selling is clothes..?

I got an ad for Cleaning Supplies before a Gwar Video.

I suppose that was relevant.

The ads are based on what you're searching/viewing. Don't be fooled that your ad blocker is stopping (any)everything if you have one. Or a VPN.

Someone is ALWAYS one step ahead of you.

I understand the responses stating that random adds can get inserted on pages. But still no one has provided an explanation for the text of the add, and that's what really makes it creepy.
