about what he really wants. To be like Kim.

"Hey, he is the head of a country and I mean he is the strong head," Mr. Trump told Fox News' Steve Doocy on the White House lawn Friday. "Don't let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same."

That’s because the people of the second sort take full advantage of the naivety of the first sort. Everyone loves a sucker.

I’ve noticed that about half the things Trump says in public he doesn’t appear to actually mean. Instead, they’re just bargaining tactics or meant to rattle someone’s cage. I wouldn’t take anything he says too seriously. Actions and results speak much louder.

Like the swell deal he just made with Kim ?

It was more of a promise to make a deal. Sanctions remain in place until progress is made with nuclear disarmament.

He he he. Trump can rub the egos of these dictators like no one else can. It's all part of his strategy to coerce fat little dictators not to have second thoughts on their commitments.

Kim got what NK desperately wanted for decades, an end to us military exercises. Trump got a promise to talk again later. There is a reason trump was master of the art of the bankruptcy when he ran his own projects. That's why he switched over to branding his name instead.

Yah, THAT was the problem with his country. It couldn’t be the international sanctions that kept NK desperately poor and backwards, without hope of improvement.
It was military drills across the border that really fucked NoKo!
How can you even make this shit up?

Kim was put in by China and told when to pee by a coterie of Chinese-controlled Military Clique. That changed recently.

I always thought the chronic and inveterate lying was New York City thing. I remember a program on TV where they brought in European contractors when they were planning the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site.

I remember one of them giving a baffled interview saying "Everybody lies here. They give you reassurances and guarantees they have no intention of following through on. If you talk to them a day later, they don't even remember what they said to you yesterday. You have to go through layers of verification for everything somebody tells you. It is very distracting. We don't know how anybody gets things done here when credibility is valued so little and everybody you encounter seems to reflexively lie about everything, often for no discernible reason."

Unlike certain other deals where the sanctions stay gone after the inspections stop.
