Isn’t that what progressives/Democrats used to always say?

I’m not a fan of this group but usually any long lasting group has at least one redeeming song regardless of how terrible they otherwise are. Styx has Grand Illusion, Foreigner has Juke Box Hero, and REO Speedwagon has Roll with the Changes.

I was watching a video on YouTube of Roll with the changes today, thinking about how some of the lyrics suit President Trumps presidency. I also thought about how not that long ago, so called Progressives were so in favor of change. President Trump has changed a lot. Trade policy, immigration policy, drastic change in foreign policy. Inadvertently he has changed how the media reports news, or at least how the President responds to a mainstream media that openly lies.
I think Progressives are not actually in favor of change. That’s just something they say when it sounds cool to them. Amazing how a Republican President is the one pushing change, isn’t it?

Why do you think Dems are not in favor of the changes you listed (other than immigration)?

I don't see a lot of Dems arguing about free trade--that's all Republicans.
What are the foreign policy changes?

The biggest change is we have a President that lies early and often. Not all change is good....

Change is always hard for the old and entrenched, which both parties are and have been. The only measurable difference between them began when Trump was elected and seized the GOP by its nuts and began the slow process of turning the animal around.
He’s doing this by NOT lying about the situation. By admitting the failures of ongoing policy, and by promising to attempt to do better where he can.

That’s what Obama did as well, but his idea of positive change was to craft more artful lies about the situation, reinforce divisions between us, and snidely disregard his critics, those bitter clingers to their God and their guns.

Trump ain’t pretty, but he’s making progress.

Tell me this, Leon. If the Democrats cared so much about DACA kids, who rightfully should have a path to citizenship, why have they stonewalled any bill meant to fix their situation?
Their refusal to make any kind of compromise at all is stunning when you consider how they’ve been beating the drum on immigration for years.

Because that's a lie. They had 2 deals to fix DACA and Trump killed them both. He lied to Congress saying he would sign them and then reneged on his promises.

Dems realized that Trump is under too much pressure from his base to ever sign a DACA deal so they stopped trying.
